  1. Just letting him know that has already been posted, in the thread I linked to.

Thanks, guys. Sorry, I didn't read far enough down in the thread you are referring to.

I wonder why T.O. still doesn't appear on the roster? The other FAs they signed, do. Hardy still has 81, too.

  2. Has anyone even heard of any other interest in him? I'm not sure that he has even made any other visits than to OBD. I still wouldnt put it past Tuna to come in late and get him on a lowball deal.

What a great weekend for the 'Fins, Pats, and Jets... all have upgraded, all have former and/or potential Bills FAs on their rosters!

I'm going out on a limb and predicting the Bills either finish last in the AFC East, or, 7-9!

  3. I know he was all but run out of Tampa, but just watching the Combine coverage, I can't help but wonder what kind of HC he'd be for the Bills.

He's won a Super Bowl, took Oakland far, did wonders with Gannon (maybe he could do the same with Edwards)... Yes, some players didn't like him but consider: lots of Bills players LOVE their coach, and where has it got them?

Just curious what you all think.

  4. Wow. I can't believe all the negative comments...

First, there is nothing wrong with him playing golf. He's allowed to take a few hours a day to do something relaxing and non-football related.

What? he's supposed to be in the weight room 12 hours a day and the film room the other 12???

He also said, "I love football" and "I love playing in buffalo." How could most of the posters miss this???

Did everyone not hear what he said how he loves the people in Buffalo and when he goes to Starbucks???

He didn't complain that he was the farthest player from home. He just simply stated it as fact.

There's nothing wrong with spending the offseason in warm weather. Who wouldn't?

I think people are just digging for dirt.

Finally, even if he doesn't "Read" criticism, there's a million other ways he'd be made aware of it.

All that matters is the W-L record. Of course, that wasn't so great this year but, he is young and obviously, needs more talent around him. Yes, he needs to be more consistent and play each month like he did in Sept '08.

  5. I was just going to post this! He has both of Oaklahoma's TDs!

Here's what Chris Brown posted the other day...

    McShay has Bills taking TE

By Chris Brown - Posted January 6th, 2009

For what it’s worth (knowing this will likely change 50 times) ESPN’s Todd McShay has the Bills taking Oklahoma TE Jermaine Gresham with the 11th pick in his mock draft. Personally I’d like to see a pass rushing DE.

Gresham has impressive numbers as is the case with just about every skill position offensive player for Oklahoma this year with 58 catches for 888 yards and 12 TDs. He’s 6′5″ 266.

He’s got good all-around talent with long arms and soft hands. So he’s an interesting prospect, but again I’d like to see the Bills address the pass rush first.

  6. If Kelly was ready to retire, then he retired at the right time...

But, I'm sure he could have played a few more years. He was only 36 when he retired. He would have been better - even at his advanced age - then:

    Todd Collins

    Billy Joe Hobert

    Alex V.P.

    Rob Johnson

    etc.

Imagine what he would have been like with Moulds, Price, Reed, Thurman, and even Remiersma (SP?)???

  7. Yes, Sully is bang-on (as usual).

The two biggest issues with this team both stem from Ralph Wilson:

    1. he's too cheap to buy Jauron out

    2. he's too cheap, in general, to spend money on the right guys to run the team. Poliana was a bargain when he was hired. Levy was also a bargain.

We, as fans, are screwed b/c we have the dubious position of "looking forward" to when the ultimate event happens and there is a change in ownership.

But, as the saying goes, "becareful what you wish for" b/c, of course, a new owner may not hesitate to move to: L.A., Oklahoma, San Antonio, Toronto, etc.

I know I'm not saying anything new, but I need to vent - it's not fun being a fan of this team anymore.

(But, I will be for life.)

  8. I'm in my league championship game tomorrow. Rivers leads the league and is at home in perfect weather, but Cassel has . . . us.

    Who do I go with?

Easy.. Rivers. He's playing the Broncos & he's on fire. They are playing for the win and the weather will be much better in San Diego than in Buffalo. It will be a shoot-out. You never know what team for the Bills will show up. But the Broncos' D reminded us how bad they are when they played last week.

(FYI - I have Rivers on my fantasy team and he's been a must-start every week.)
