My only criticism of McD was that he waited as long as he did to pull the trigger on Dorsey.

They both go back to the Carolina days, but it was clear he was either in over his head or simply not a good fit for the role after last season.

The numbers for the offense last year were deceptive because they had a great start to the season, then teams adjusted and our offense was becoming a turnover machine when not going 3 and out. Josh was regressing and we were barely sqeaking out wins down the wire and finally ended the season in a wimper against the Bengals.

I am sure making that switch this year was hard, but what we have seen to date is an offense that seems to be better prepared with a game plan for opponents and executing at a higher level.

The confusion, mistakes, turnovers, and pre-snap penalties were just snowballing under Dorsey.

McD does have a defensive system that relies on having types of players that fit that system, and he has been snake bit with injuries and they could not protect an offense that was struggling to put up points.

Would be nice if the fickle gods of football give us a break on that side of the ball and we get some of those key guys back healthy.

Bean has done a masterful job finding good replacement players and it is great to see some of the young blood starting to step up and grow into contributing roles.

Do you honestly think the decision to let go of Dorsey was 100% McD’s? Because it wasn’t.

That can make teams dangerous. New coach and QB with nothing to lose will be pulling out all the stops, and great players like Bosa and Mack with something to prove. Game will start at what for the Bills will be 11:00 PM. Up to McDermott to keep the team focused after what I feel is one of his best coaching performances to date.

Did you watch that QB play last week? If we are going to worry about the Chargers being dangerous we are done for.

Bills win by 20-30 and all starters sit in the 4th again.

  3. I have to say, so many times over the McD era we’ve been bullied in tough matchups but geeze we laid the wood today. We dominated the LOS in ways OL and DL coaches only fantasize about.

McD and the coaching staff deserve so much credit for keeping this team focused despite all the nonsense surrounding them this year; not to mention half our defense is on IR.

Nothing against Trevon Diggs, a fine player

But I think our CBs this year have earned the right to play, and of course there’s the question of whether Tre can return and whether Elam will develop

Now if he wanted to and was able to convert to Safety…..maybe it could be “Come to Buffalo where you can play Safety”?

i dont want him either. But that’s not the point of trolling him. 😂😂

This doesn’t make any sense mathematically.

Matchup of 8-7 teams don’t matter. Either way, there will be a 7 win team.

If Colts win today, they likely get a wildcard spot. Their schedule is easy. And Browns too.

That leaves 1 spot for several teams to fight over.

The Colts never have an “easy” game. They can lose vs anyone in the league.

5 points lower than their season avg.  They lucked out that Toney lines up Offside which is extremely rare or that game was lost.  I'll give him credit that they won the game but that wasn't a great showing.  This team needs to do better.  McD is undefeated after the bye but IIRC those were mostly close games just like this one.  Hopefully play better next week because Dallas has the best O in the league right now

You are playing Mahomes in Kansas City. After they just lost. How much better do you want the defense to play? A shutout?

We also lost 2 more starters during this game.

The greatest strength of this team is offense, so we don't need to keep drafting undersized linebackers and corners who can't cover.

We need a true number 2 wide receiver (assuming Diggs stays), another offensive lineman (or two), a RB in the line of Murray, but with youth.
On the defensive side we need someone to replace DeQuan Jones (assuming he goes elsewhere).  Don't know how Milano is going to recover, so we should consider his replacement.

I also think it would worth drafting a developmental quarterback so we don't all have to sweat when Josh takes a hard hit.

I hope that we also hire a defensive coordinator.  Although McDermott is a genius in his own mind, we need a fresh voice on defense.  We also need to fire the ST coach and get some one good in here.

You don’t know who Beane listens to. Really, you don’t know anything. You’re posting about things you nothing about.

I don't know if it's just me ... but after the last 13 weeks, I'm burned out with this team. I'm a season ticket holder,  and I'll be out there the next 2 weeks regardless and sporting the red, white and blue ... but I really don't care anymore.

But then again, maybe it is just me ... I don't care about much of anything any more.

I looked to the Bills to be a distraction from everything else in my life,  but they're just as F'd as everything else

Sounds to me like you have more personal issues than anything else. Take care friend. This is a GAME. Nothing about the Bills or any sport should drain you. Take care of yourself.

Am I the only one going for the chiefs tonight so they can stay ahead of Miami?

Yes I hate Miami that much..

Miami hasn’t won anything in like 50yrs. Do you really want to see KC, Mahomes and Kelce have home field yet again? I don’t.

I believe this a lot more than Florio shooting from the hip.

I think this team would have to endure a colossal melt-down in the locker room and on the field the final 5 games in order for any coaching change to be considered

I feel the support is warranted. If I remember correctly, heading into this season only one other team had more wins than the Bills since 2019 and that was the Chiefs. That says something both about McD and Beane.

We don’t know the inner circle dynamics and few do. I feel the only way McD would get fired is if there was a complete meltdown beyond just losing 8 games one season. The meltdown would have to be within the locker room as well.

(Please don't merge this with the thread complaining about the Bills/Eagles officiating.  This is different, with wider scope, and not limited to the Bills.)

There have always been suspicions that the NFL is fixed, but this year seems almost blatent.  There have been a ton, a ton of badly officiated games this season, and not just involving the Bills.  The NFL is in bed with Vegas and the gambling apps, that much is fact.

So, my question is, what do you believe?  I don't believe the league is outright scripted.  But I do believe they have preferences, and are not afraid to unleash the officials to get the outcomes they want, based on trends.

I hate to be that guy.  I hate to think about conspiracy theories.  But the officiating all around the league has been laughably bad/questionable the whole season.

The Eagles were 9-1. They didn’t need this win. They’re making the playoffs.

Dont you think the NFL wants Josh Allen in the playoffs?? He’s one of the most exciting players in the league. Of course they want him in the playoffs!

The refs sucked last night. Thats not a Vegas problem.

Also, if the NFL was “in bed with Vegas” you’d think the Raiders would have a winning record for once, no?

This scripted/gambling narrative needs to die once and for all.
