So basically, to take away from all this...
I'll be fine in the stadium because of the security, but once I get out in the parking lot, don't draw attention to myself.
Haha good to know...because I've been to a few Jets games in the Meadowlands, and I'm always one of the incredibly obnoxious Bills fans. Jests fans are incredibly docile and quiet that I can basically do whatever I want all the time, and they don't give a crap.
Thanks guys.
My girlfriend is buying me tickets to the season opener in Foxborough for our Anniversary.
Basically, I want to know is if I will get beaten up / gang raped by the Pats* fans, and if there is a strong contingent of Bills fans there.
* as a side note, my girlfriend will be safe, as she's a Pats* fan. She loves Tommie boy, and I hate myself every day for it.
It also depends on who you want to play the under-tackle role. NGata or WIlfork could both do well playing the 1-technique, but you need 1 DT to play a 3-technique. Harris fits that role nicely.
Yeah I remember all those "No-Foot Lindell" jokes. Last year was just a bad year. Didn't he set a franchise record for most consecutive field goals made like...2 years ago?
And didn't he also set an NFL Record for most consecutive made extra points to start a career? Some ridiculous number if I remember correctly...
The waiting period makes sense. If I remember correctly, I made an account a while ago before I even made my first post.
Just remember that not all of us are idiot trolls
Well Perry Fewell has been tinkering around with the blitzing schemes the past few seasons, since apparently, our DE's can't get anything done. I actually think he's done a good job getting the most out of the pass rush, considering kelsay is still on the team.
Does anyone remember if he's ever had us use a zone blitz before? I kinda vaguely remember a few instances of it, but obviously not as a main scheme.
But what about all the stuff he can pass on to Maybin? Yeah, sure, our new D-Line coach is supposed to do that, but still, having one of the best Tampa 2 DE's, teach the young'ins couldn't hurt, could it?
Is that because he gets the ball out so quick? If he held the ball longer waiting for more big plays..."a la JP"... I would imagine, and this is just me speculating at this point, that the sack total would be much larger, probably in the mid 30's.
The per attempt numbers would be interesting to see as well.
I think part of it is the lack of protection that Trent has gotten. It might not be risk aversion, but more him being smart with the ball and not lobbing it up there with pressure in his face. One of the good qualities about Trent is that he has a quick release, and this helps him avoid pressure from blitzes. As often as he has gotten sacked, I sometimes wonder that if we had any other QB...our sacks allowed total would be much higher.
Either way...doesn't bode well for this year with our rookie OL.
OTA Notes
"Edwards admitted it does get frustrating when he’s forced to check the ball down more than he would like, saying it’s not exciting football, but realizes it’s how he and his offensive teammates will have to adjust when those circumstances present themselves in the fall."
Guess he doesn't enjoy it as much as we thought...
