  1. More to playing safety than picks. Notice how soft the middle of the defense has been against the run? Maybe that has something to do with Whitner being out.

(I'm not saying it definitely does. I'm just saying it's possible...we don't really know.)

the middle of the field is probably a combination of that and the lack of decent lbs

dont rain on my parade. what an ugly game against an ugly team.

  2. TO found out he had to take the place of robert royal on our team. Someone needed to kill drives with dropped passes.

yeah TO is the problem with the offense. he is dropping passes but its not like we would be running up and down teh field if it werent for him.

this game is schitty vs. schitty. this blows

  3. Agreed.

I think the Jags and Rams have a much higher possibility of moving than the Bills. The Jags have blacked out their entire season. Thats a joke. They should and probably will be the rist team to move. They can go to Toronto and we can switch the divisions around a little bit to have a Great Lakes Division. Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Toronto

score we could win that one every year for sure...playoffs here we come

  4. In Trents presser after the game he was asked something along the lines of,

"if you where a Bills fan, adn spent good money on a ticket, would you boo the Bills for thier performance today?"...

his response: "I cant answer that, I am not a Bills fan, I am a football player"

maybe I am just blowing this out of proportion, i am sure a press conference is tough after such a bad game, but that made me furious. he plays awful for his last 10 or so starts for the city that sells out every game to watch nothing but bs performance, and the first thing out of his mouth is I am not a Bills fan. C'mon man we pay your bills, and you are going to spit in our face. He can get the fug out of here with his bff dick.

TO was asked the same question, and he said yes he would definitely boo...honest and respectable answer

  5. if everybody is so ready to blow this team up and start over next year, why spend money on any line backer. I am giving Ralph the benifit of the doubt that he is waiting for the offseason(this is more for my own sanity and morale). We dont spend tons of money in fa this past offseason, bc the defense is servicable and not the problem. ralph assumed the o-line would suffice, and gave trent and dick t.o. and told them to go try and keep there jobs. Ralph knows that resigning Jauron 5 games in last year was stupid, he is just going to let it blow up in his face, and tell dick that he gave him every opportunity. we will clear house next year, that includes trent i think.

also, is it possible that the front office is waiting for some one from the UFL november 1st (i think thats the date). They are cheap and teh fo might be able to sell a ufl star to buffalo without having to spend big bucks.

  6. trent was good at the begining of last season because d's assumed he would take shots down the field, they respected him at the qb position. he had three consecutive 4th quarter come backs because he threw it under neath and each d went into prevent. after those games, trent lost respect from the leagues defenses and even in a close game i would never worry about him going over top because he never would.

hell we where so close against ne for 2 reasons 1) tom brady had a bad day getting back into the swing of things and 2) bellicheck most likely prepared for a pretty serious attack through the air with the addition of to. that that didnt happen. we stayed close with new orleans for the same reasons. the d has issues (especially now with the lb situation), but they are more than competitant. the oline is servicable if trent does some things to help himself. it keeps getting worse game after game because teams are figuring us out, put 8 in the box, send 8 guys 5 yards off the ball and send the cbs into 1-1. the o-line is not good but spreading the ball out over the entire field to multiple recievers will most definitely help alleviate the problem, rather than magnify it like we are now

  7. I actually think he is going to do well in this new league and play his way back into the NFL to get a shot to make an NFL roster...its about the only reason I might turn one of those games on is to see how he does. I didnt want him here, but I still hope he does well.

people get the wrong idea about jp's current situation. jp would and should be in the league still, just becuase he is not playing for anybody does not mean he wasnt contacted or given offers. he was offered multiple jobs this off season, all where for back up positions. he turned each one down because he wanted to start and start only. too much time went by and he found himself jobless because he was stubborn. as long as he is willing to work at a no. 2 and cross his fingers he gets a shot to start then he will be back in next year

  8. People are complaining about the play of the O-Line yesterday especially, they clearly let soem bad sacks...BUT I think TE is to blame for some of this. The O-Line held up fine the first 2(a good portion of 3) games, giving Trent plenty of time to throw, but he would never pull the trigger. I just think that TE's inadequicies are forcing his own pass rush.

NE played off the line in fear of Lee and TO, so Jackson put up huge numbers, and TE's favorite checkdowns where always there. Clearly week to week each team is taking more and more short field away there is no respect for the passing game what so ever. The line seems to be blocking 6-8 pass rushers each passing down, that is impossible for even the line in the NFL.

So far in his career TE has a good first few games, then teams take away the short stuff and we suck, the run game sucks, and then all of a sudden the time TE used to have in the passing game is gone and it is all the lines fault.

Alot of TE current problems as far as time in the pocket seem to be somewhat to his own doings. Granted the line is injured, and they do have there problems, but TE is magnifying it, and AVP is not helping, he needs more slants to atleast get the lb's off the line of scrimmage so that the 5 up front have a chance to win some battles

  9. I was at the game, there was a lot of double coverage on to, but tons of times the safeties cheated up and he was perfect to go over top. the most glaring was on our second posesion of teh game...he was open down the line on the 15 or so, had teh cb beat by a mile.

trent is not a bust he is just a 3rd round qb who is servicable, just not even close to the guy for us

  10. c+/b-

Some good some bad. He opened the field a bit more than usual, but not as much as I would have liked given the secondary we where facung. There where times he held the ball too long and took some bad sacks. He let the offense get a bit stale in the 2nd half and could never really rebound.

We need to find a way to get Lee and TO the ball more. I know TO dropped the sure TD, but he needs to get that opportunity more than once or twice a game. Same with Lee. I dont know if its Trent or playcalling. Probably a little of both, but our playmaker need be given opportunities to make plays.

  11. Im sorry...his job was NOT to "make a play" or "win the game" right there. His job was to protect the ball.

If the kid is too stupid to understand how the game works and to have situational awareness of when to try and bust one for a TD and when to sit on the damned ball and protect it, then cut him.

And the above argument that he had to run it out to try to burn clock is wrong. How much "clock" was he gong to burn? Three seconds? So he took a MASSIVE risk of losing the ball (and did!) to try and burn off three seconds?

what if the refs ruled it a safety? what if his momentum brought it back to the endzone and it is not a touchback? then what?

the return was fine, the butterfingers where the problem

  12. So many people keep saying, he needs to know to hold on to the ball, or he doesnt understand he cant fumble.

Really, you think he doesnt know that. He stands back there and thinks, "boy a turnover would be nice" He understands the importance of protecting the ball, and clearly in that situation. Nobody needs to be told that. Maybe if Jauron had said hey Leodis, dont drop it. Then the game would have gone the other way.

Yeah it sucks, loosing games ruin my entire week. i am upset, but I am sure that Leodis understands the gravity of the situation.

  13. I had a different feeling from the TO press conference. I thought I saw a bit of worry and "what the eff did I get myself into." He didnt seem to have the same swagger he normally does, he seemed a bti distanced and reserved. I think you might see a quite TO this year, and maybe even distanced from his team mates.

I think he might come into Buffalo, ignore the mess, keep his mouth shut, then take his next big contract from somewhere else who thinks he has matured. either that or he is going to rip TE and Co. apart

  14. that would be the best thing that could happen.

not in the least, look at the big picture. We need to salvage enough mediocrity to not make this season misserable, and poor enough to get old DJ fire. That is the only chance that a legitimate HC and GM come to the team. Anything more or less than that keeps DJ his job or gets him replaced with somebody already on the coaching staff (ie April, Fewell) and we have to put up with the same old crap with rebuilding and a new coach.

  15. This would be bad. I have thought for a while TJ was one of the worst qb's in football today (that includes when JP was starting for us). With AP and their D, somebody compitent should have been able to bring them relatively deep into the playoffs.

TE is definitely been playing bad, one of the worst in the NFL so far this pre-season/close of last years regular, but I am not sure TJ is much if an improvement, possibly worse. Wouldnt really like this move, I would have to hear more to tell.

  16. we are toeing a thin line. The only hopes of getting a legitimate head coach is DJ keeping his job all year. a 2-14 seaon might get him fired at week 6, Bobby April/ Perry Fewell becomes are new head coach through the following season. Another 7-9 season might let DJ keep his job.

we need to do poor enough to get DJ fired, but well enough for him to stay for 16 games.

  17. The defense is decent, i though tit was last year. There are 2 things holding it back.

    1. The offense isnt putting up points/sustaining ball control. They keep getting thrown out on the field with little break. I would assume this would help with 3rd downs

    2. Their bend but dont break is keeping the points off the board but in a close game coming into the end of the 3rd/4th quarter they get tired and thats when the breaking happens.

  18. yeah that wont happen. i wish there was a viable back up. Good thing we didnt bring in anybody to pressure TE for the starting job, who knows how we would have looked. good thing we didnt put any pressure on brining in cutler, that would have sucked too.

its picking right up from last season. te is predictable and the more game tape available to teams the easier he is to stop

i almost miss jp...??(im sure that will stir the pot)
