Think they play it out regardless. Den played with Zero QBs. Browns just played with Zero WRs.
You're probably right....such is life in 2020....and someone mentioned the bubble idea earlier in this thread. I hope the Bills bubble everybody.

Covid seems to me to be the one thing that can derail the Bills (and other teams too). Wonder what the NFL will do if a Raven's situation comes up during the playoffs? Do they postpone or make a team play without key positions like QB being able to be filled?

Like you...San Diego, Charlotte, Mt Laurel? You do know that not EVERY Bills fan lives in, or is from Buffalo, right? This fanbase covers the globe. I do agree with your screen name though.
Mt. Laurel as in NJ? That was my last stop prior to being in Virginia. Very nice place....Don't miss the taxes. I will say, the vast majority of Bills fans I meet are generally from Buffalo or have a very close relative (usually a parent) from Buffalo. My unscientific guess is that, unlike the Cowboys or the Patriots or other such teams who probably have more fans out of their geographic area than in, Buffalo fans have some connection to WNY. Total guess. just based on meeting hundreds of people over the years wearing Bills gear out in public.

Here come all the out of the region Bills fans who claim they have been fans for 25 years.
Nope, some of us had the good fortune to be born and raised in WNY, have been gone for more than 25 years and have followed the Bills for 50+ years. Through mostly bad football punctuated by bursts of really good football. Moments like last night and victory over the Jets in 1988, and the Dolphins in 1980 make it all worthwhile though. Feels like the team is on the verge of another burst of really good football. Here's hoping so....

A friend texted me and said to break a table - at 60 its more like a hip than a table, but I get the sentiment! Go Bills.....For us old timers this feels a lot like 1988.....

I don’t care how early it is. I said it after week 5...I know Reed had longevity and an amazing career. I know Moulds was incredible. Diggs is going to be the best WR the Bills have ever had. I don’t care how ridiculous it sounds. He’s amazing.
Reed had longevity and was fantastic in yards after the catch. But what I think he was really special at was showing up in the big game - whether it was a playoff or key in season game. Will be great if Diggs can have those same kinds of big game performances, year in and year out. He can be a very special player for the Bills.

As hot as Bass has been you didn't expect him to miss a chippy
I'm not convinced that he actually missed it. In looking at replays it sure looked like it was inside the goalpost, albeit, probably 30 feet above the end of the post. I'm surprised in todays technology world the NFL hasn't come up with some sort of sensor that they can stick in the end of the goalpost, pointing up and also out (left or right depending on which post) that would "detect" whether a ball went over/through the sensor (and therefore, if so, its no good because it would have hit the post or been wide).

It really struck me watching them play tonight:
- Huge uncertainty at QB
- Good defense & special teams, good RB
- All-pro punter
- Can't consistently score points
- JAG WR corps
- Occasional amazing game to give fans hope, but in general maintaining a near-.500 record
- Being just good enough to not make the playoffs & avoid the top 10 in the draft
It's been weird reading their boards, too - the same playoff possibility conversations we used to have at this point: if x team loses twice, and beats y team, but if y team beats z team, etc.
I must say - I'm liking the role reversal.
We'll know in about sixteen hears, but betting not....

Is this real or a metaphor? Who dreams about reading the paper about football... who reads a paper anymore?? Hope your okay though!
Believe it or not, some of us older fans still read a paper. I have no idea how old the OP is but, its still a thing....a dying, soon to be a relic, thing.....

A win is a win and darn glad they won with a -2 turnover ratio - that doesn't happen often I don't think. What I'd like to see the team work on is their coverage on Hail Mary type passes.....geesh....almost happened again......

Is there any scenario for the NFL where a game is simply canceled and not played? If so what is the scenario?

They got announced like that every game, right before the team announcements.
Ah, ok. That makes sense. I simply didn't recall that. I mean, snow in Sept. in Buffalo is just too crazy to believe. Now October, that's a different story.

Wow, the Buffalo Jills, remember them? So they get introduced as "your 1989 Buffalo Jills" but there is clearly snow on the ground? Did the team just wait until mid to late in the season to introduce them or did it actually snow in Sept? 😆

More proof that the gods are not Bills fans.....uggg.....and more questioning whether my wife's right when she says "why do you do this to yourself?".....
It shouldn't have come down to a hail mary, or even a last minute Bills drive to win. The team once again had a 3rd quarter collapse fueled by penalties and both the DL and OL getting man-handled.

Steve Tasker
I wondered if anyone was going to mention him. Maybe special teams don't count for this? He may go to the HOF as essentially a backup receiver and of course a top 5 special teamer.

Too painful still. Otis F....ing Anderson. Are you kidding me.
My exact thoughts.....If the kick goes in then Thurman Thomas is the SB 25 MVP....and I'd argue he still should have been....

I always get a kick out of these "where were you in ....." questions. I had just turned 33, had just started potty training our first kid and was still thrilled that the Bills were the Best of the AFC....it also represented the last year I saw the Bills play in person for nearly 20 years - we had our 2nd kid and the Mrs. kind of put the kibosh on driving to Buffalo for a long weekend every year once we had kids. Then life happened and the Bills sucked so it wasn't really worth the drive.

Agree. I played some center. There, is timing, feel ( no jokes) and trust on assignments and line calls. In the shotgun it makes a bigger difference in accuracy and speed.
