  1. Listening to sports radio around here is much like what it must be listening to it there. They will complain about certain players there, like Edwards, O line, D backs...

Here they complain about Delhomme and Peppers. Peppers isn't worth anywhere near the franchise contract they gave him. The word here is that he has given up. Someone that knows him said he is actually playing out this year for the money, then supposedly trying to make it in the NBA. He didn't want to play here. He has been his entire life, went to college at UNC, now with the Panthers. He wanted out and told them that, but they wouldn't listen. Peppers doesn't worry me near as much as their running backs against our run defense.

  2. Yes, it's best to lose with a different coach than keep someone with a proven track record of winning games.

How do you figure? Things get stale. It happens all the time in all walks of life, not just coaching. Think outside the norm for just a moment...do you really believe the Broncos would have been better served keeping Shanahan? Would the Steelers be any better off having kept Cowher? Would the Chargers have really been better, personnel wise (since the Gm couldn't get along with him) had they kept Schottenheimer? Time passes and things need change or they regretfully stay the same. You can turn it around on us...keep bringing in coaches without proven track records, without a new energy and it doesn't matter what name you insert, the result is the same. Believe it or not, change can be a good thing, even when it doesn't seem it.

  3. You guys have no idea how pissed Jeff Fisher is at the comments made by Bud Adams in the last couple days. I mean he did not give the coach a vote of confidence at all. This is a guy who led them to 13 wins last year and has had multiple playoff appearances over the last decade, while the Bills were throwing up all over themselves. Fisher has always reminded me of the Lindy Ruff of the NFL. Both guys are long tenured with the same team, both are darn good coaches who have gotten close but never won the big game/series.

This generally means it's time to move on. Probably best for both parties, much like Denver did this year. I imagine the same will hit Belichek in a few years. At a certain point, everything stays status quo and there needs to be new life, new blood injected into the system.

  4. OK. I can't take it anymore and I hate to be THAT GUY, but the correct spelling is ridiculous. It is ridiculous to me that people cannot spell simple words. Good lord.

If you hate to be him, why be him? There are multiple misspelled words, sentence fragments, missing punctuation, etc. on this site, they don't get pointed out out of courtesy. Some of these things may even be for effect. If not, who cares? Does it somehow diminish your intellect by reading the inappropriate spelling or part of speech? Does it actually make your day worse? Aren't there enough things to complain about around here without calling out something like that?

  5. Agreed. And look at Norv's teams. They consistently underperform. Jaws just said it, football is a game of emotion. You gotta have it. And the Bills play with as little emotion as I've ever seen.

What they do have though, and I attribute it to the person and team leadership more than the coach, is heart. This team could have easily mailed it in by now, much like the Titans. Take a spirited coach, like Gruden, and let him take over a team with this much heart and passion for the game, even if the passion doesn't show in emotion, and I believe some real talent...would be a great combination.

I think too many people give Jauron credit for his guys playing hard every week. That's on the players not the coach. The coach can't teach integrity.

  6. No way the players look all lost and sad with him on the sideline that's for sure.

It is pathetic isn't it? The complete lack of enthusiasm from these guys. I was late to the bandwagon for people saying the team takes the coaches personality, but it really does seem that way.

I actually just saw the same "Jauron" look on Norv Turner. They are a lot alike...rehashed, proven failures. It would be nice to see a Gruden type here that could bring some life and urgency to these guys.

  7. What did we learn from this performance? In my opinion, we learned that through many injuries and some good fortune handed to us by the Jets, along with decent play on offense and above average on defense, excluding the run defense...we learned that Ralph will find enough excuses to keep the current staff in place at least through the season.

  8. Who are you...Skooby reincarnated? Gosh, you're just a peach aren't you. Is anything you have stated here something the rest couldn't have seen? It all seems kind of obvious, but we are all proud of you for you sooth seeing abilities. I find it hard to believe this offense would be going anywhere with Peters here still either.
