I dont know what you and k-9 are seeing. he opens up his stride out of the cut and i see nothing there that looks like gimp.

Just doesn’t look as crisp as usual...like he’s being extra careful in/out of his breaks

I thought he went in and out of the break very carefully.  Wasn't sudden.

    Agreed

This pleases me. He’s the guy they need back for this game.

I imagine that Gilmore will draw Brown and they’ll roll a double on Diggs. That probably means they zone the middle. Bease knows how to work those zones, but it would be great if our backs and TEs could show up in the passing game this week—if they can, I think we can make it ugly.

Buffalo is so due, overdue for a broken coverage, long TD where the WR or RB runs free.  This would be a great week for one.   Also a pick six would be nice.  Also a ST touchdown would be nice.  All the kind of things NE does to Buffalo to win games.

We had one last week...unfortunately Kroft got bit by the turf monster

That is an interesting name. Any info on the historical background of Shemar?

Starting DT. Good run stuffer. Plays for a team with a bad record and very little cap space. One year left on his deal (2021). Minnesota would save $3.6M this year by trading him.

He's a completely different animal without that knee brace.

He didn't even look out of place playing End at times during that game.

I loved the spin move he flashed right before he banged heads with three Jet Linemen and collapsed the pocket into Darnold's face that forced a bad throw that the new kid on the Corner picked off right before halftime.

^this...an uninhibited Ed Oliver is one bad dude

dude just throws shat against the wall and hopes it sticks. No one has said that yet. But I also pray its true. Ford at LG and Mongo at RG is ideal

He also will flip flop from one stance to another...yesterday he called Ford’s injury long-term. Today it looks like he’ll play. Tomorrow he’ll flip back. I used to think he did it so that he could say he was right either way, but now I think it’s just to mess with people that actually pay attention.

So aside from the occasional call-out I think I’ll be done with the shenanigans. It was fun for a spell, but I’m over it.

I'd put he chances at slim right now that he even plays... but today's injury report might go a long way to telling us.  if he healthy he will hope but I still think brown is the key, he will make the defense loosen up just a little more...

Yeah, it’s tough to get into football shape with only a week of practice, but Mongo would definitely bring a lift to the offensive line’s attitude in a game that they need to have.

  9. This reminds me of 2016 Stephon Gilmore talk—people on this board were absolutely incensed at his “poor” play (even though he allowed 2 TDs all season and a passer rating below 65). Regardless of how clearly the tape showed that he was doing his job and playing well, folks didn’t care. He was persona non grata and that was that.

It appears that Edmunds is that guy now. I’d post clips and do some explaining, but (a) guys like Cover-1 and others have already done the work and (b) I’ve seen how this game ends.

Dane played the slot in college but joe Marino felt confident on his podcast that wouldn’t be the best place for him in the nfl and he’s a better fit on the outside. He watched a ton of his college film. I don’t know though.

Agreed...Taron has actually been quietly getting better this season. He got beat up early on, and a lot of that was due to backups playing at LB who weren’t occupying underneath zones very well.

Since Edmunds has been back, TJ has steadily been improving; this week is a critical game for him.

Read my posts before the announcement.  Again, Milano played but didn’t start. He will this week and you questioned me on Brown. Relax.  It is great all three are back and we have a chance now.  Brown will definitely open up the field for Diggs

There’s an entire thread with people assuming he’d be activated yesterday. Cut the 💩 already.

I had feeling that Feliciano would be activated yesterday. All the dots pointed in that direction. He must have passed all the required tests.  It is a big plus. Definitely gives us the nasty streak.  We got Brown and Milano back too.  Doesn’t look good for Ford. The dots are not aligning.  Hopefully we can get him back soon

Well since yesterday was the deadline and he had already returned to practice, it was pretty apparent.

Did you see a practice report with the status of Brown?

We got Milano back last week.

    Yes but....

I love me some Smoke.  On the other hand, how much of that is due to a shift in how teams started playing us, starting with the very successful Tennessee shutdown which coincided with Brown's absence?  In other words is it kind of correlation rather than causation?

Smoke runs those cover-2 beaters to the boundary as well as anyone, and he’s a guy that Allen trusts a lot. His absence definitely makes a difference.

This is very similar to my take. Also the penalty was garbage. davis had a foot within a half yard of the line of scrimmage.

The penalty was on Diggs—he covered up Gilliam, who was also on the LOS. Correct call and sloppy play by the Bills. Real shame because Josh Allen’s work from pre-snap through execution on that play could be used as an example of perfect QBing by any coach anywhere in the world.
