This is hilarious to me. We've been losers for so long that we steal a win and that's all that matters. Real fans of our beloved Bills can see we are in deep shyt on Defense. We state concern and the response is we got the W.

That won't be the case in the playoffs if the D doesn't get its s#$@ together . There are those of us who would like to see the Bills win a f#$&ing playoff game... Jesus.

So wait, “real fans” don’t accept wins; “real fans” demand that wins happen in certain ways and with specific emphases?

    Thats...interesting.

BTW anyone see that last TD pass yesterday by the Midget?

The SF defensive lineman was about to get to the Midget and was tackled from behind by the Seahags O lineman...no flag....not surprised.

Is there a point to calling him “The Midget” aside from being demeaning?

Seems kind of silly. He’s a phenomenal player and, by all accounts, a world-class human being. How about a little respect?

Nope should have cost us the game if not for the fumble. Other teams are put in the same position and they have no problems

How so? A drop by Davis on 3rd and goal cost the team 4 points and a 28-21 lead. That was a pass play by the way.

Games aren’t proverbially “won” very often in the NFL—as per Belichick himself, most games are lost, not won. I’ve watched NE****** win games because other teams gave it away for 20 years.

You prefer that he throw the ball with 7 DBs out there?

I definitely think that they could’ve mixed in more bubble screens and short zone throws to keep the offense moving if they wanted, but the fact is that they scored 24 points (which should have been 28 if not for a brutal drop) in a windstorm and got the job done.

Of course not...but you have to admit that a player that many thought could go in the 1st round can’t even get in the field is a little disappointing and worrisome, to say the least...especially when we don’t have any world beaters at the position...

Nah. Sometimes rookies take time, and considering that he basically had no offseason work exacerbates it.

And for the record I had him as a mid day 2 pick.

It’s not a good look when your hope for the Bills’ 2nd round pass rusher is a solid rotational player- someday...there were plenty of other prospects on the board that could have been starting right now...what a waste...

Dude... I didn’t like that pick either, but are you really insinuating that the book on AJE’s career is written at this point?

    I agree

in no way I’m blaming him entirely I’m just saying he needs to have a big game today. That’s the main point.

As I said last week: there are no prerequisites for winning, nor are there style points. 2-0 with a safety still gets you to 6-2 with a stranglehold on the division. That’s what needs to happen.

New England has struggled in multiple areas this season, but none more apparent than the passing game. Heading into Week 8, the Patriots have thrown for the second-fewest yards in the league (1,261), the least amount of passing touchdowns (three) and a league-high 11 interceptions. You could argue that the unit hit rock-bottom last week against the 49ers when Cam Newton was benched in the second half after throwing for just 98 yards and three interceptions. While Newton's inefficiency is unquestionably a key reason why New England is struggling, he's not alone. The Patriots pass catchers have done next to nothing to help him break out of his funk. This year, Pats wide receivers rank 27th in receptions, 29th in receiving yards, and dead last in the NFL in touchdown receptions. To make matters worse, the unit will be without Julian Edelman for the foreseeable future after undergoing a procedure on his knee. Defensively, the Patriots have taken a step back from the top-three unit they were a year ago. Now, opponents have been able to put up points, especially when they commit to running the ball where New England ranks 27th in the league.

The Bills, meanwhile, saw Josh Allen start the year off extremely hot, but the emerging quarterback has cooled down in recent weeks. After an opening four games where he averaged 331.5 passing yards per game on a 70.95 completion percentage to go along with 12 touchdowns and just one pick, Allen's totals have dipped. Coming into Sunday's contest, Allen owns a 63.06 completion percentage and has thrown for just 692 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions over the past three games. To help cushion that cooldown against New England, the Bills will need to run the ball with better efficiency with Devin Singletary and rookie Zack Moss. As evidence from the 49ers' 197-yard and four-touchdown rushing performance in Week 7, the Patriots defense can be run on. Buffalo simply needs to capitalize on it.

    Prediction

While I don't think that anyone would argue that Buffalo isn't currently the superior team, I do think that the Patriots are catching them at the right time. Josh Allen is starting to cool off, their defense isn't as sturdy as it's been in the past, and there will be no fans in the stands for what otherwise would be a House of Horrors for Bill Belichick and company at Bills Stadium. I foresee the Patriots coming out extremely desperate and exposing one key weakness that the Bills have: stopping the run. According to Football Outsiders, Buffalo's run defense efficiency ranks just 26th in the NFL, right below the Patriots. With a quarterback like Cam Newton, who has shown his ability to do damage on the ground, along with emerging second-year back Damien Harris, New England has the horses to attack this weakness, pull off the upset and live to fight another day. As for what the rest of our CBS Sports experts think, click here.

Score: New England 24, Buffalo 17

If the Bills are looking to play the “disrespect” card, this is the time. You’re 5-2 and facing a 2-4 team that’s lost 3 straight, and it seems like a lot of national talking heads are picking against you...at home...against a very injured team.

Using PFF throws out any argument you may have had.

It's not even a debate, Jefferson is producing more than Oliver.

Well, you’re right that it’s not debatable...

Oliver has more solo tackles, more TFLs, more QB hits, more hurries, and more pressures. They are equal in sacks and QB knockdowns.

I would also encourage you to watch the All-22; it’s obvious.

    Define "hot seat."

You’ll have to ask the person that brought it up if you suspect that the definition is different from the colloquialism we’ve come to know.

Everyone seems to think absurd the idea that McDermott will be in hot water if he loses this game. I don't get it. When you've yet to beat the Patriots during your tenure, you can almost secure the division with a win, and you're hosting them at 5-2/2-4, how is there not a referendum on McDermott if he can't lead the Bills to a win here? He absolutely has to.

Nope. If they go 10-6 with 2 losses to NE****** they’ll still win the division and host a playoff game—something that hasn’t been done here in 25 years.

  12. 2 minutes ago, Giuseppe Tognarelli said:

McDermott instantly sits on the hot seat if the Bills don't win this game. There is no excuse, none.

A coach that has made the playoffs 2/3 years and has a 5-2 record isn’t going to be on the hot seat for a loss—any loss—that puts the team at 5-3 atop the division.

    Just no.

Anybody else then, I know the Cover 1 guys liked Washington's 1Tech. He's alright, healthy and has 2 years left on a rookie deal.

I hear you, but I’d be shocked if WFT has any desire to deal Payne. If anyone gets moved from their front 7 I reckon it’d be PR Kerrigan.

My advice: don’t listen to people when they try to give you parenting advice 😂 There’s not one parent that has a clue what they’re doing—it is 100% making it up as you go and acting like you know what you’re doing.

Why would I be mad about this team winning?

Let's be serious though, if they do beat the Patriots it's just another hollow accomplishment......not quite on par with the Jets game but if the Patriots are truly this bad the Bills very well may back into the division title by default with 7 or 8 wins this year similar to the 2017 season when we backed into the playoffs as a WC.

    Geez...
