Move Edmunds to LorAx's spot. They can split snaps at off-ball LB and EDGE. Both will still be on the field a ton, but you're putting Edmunds in a role more suited to his athletic gifts

How can we not be all in on Metcalf now?

Well how "widely" was he considered the WR1, and does that matter at all in comparison to what NFL teams think? -

No and no. I saw more than one analyst with Marquise Brown as WR1, including Daniel Jeremiah...and if the combine showed anything, it's that his COD skills may have had a sizable role in his limited route usage. -
Ah, so I should count you among the "if you don't think he's Julio then you can't have watched him" crowd? C'mon man; you know me better than that by now

Yeah. You probably aren't going to find "runs really fast in a straight line" among too many personnel executives' priorities for ANY player, let alone a top-10 WR -
30+ TFLs and 10 sacks in 26 games constitutes not making plays? Because those were Edmunds' stats. That's actually pretty great for a 19 year old
-
Oh, sorry, I thought this was a discussion board. I didn't realize it was a forum for only those folks who are elite NFL prospects.
-
Looking to me like the top 4 could look a lot like: Murray Q Williams Bosa DK He was invisible for a number of games. It's hardly a crazy opinion.
-
Yeah, he's going top 3.
-
Nope. Brown had more catches and TDs than DK prior to his injury. And no, missing on a QB doesn't set a franchise back at all...unless a team is unwilling to draft another QB. But hey, if you think it's a good idea to trade up for a guy that averaged 3 receptions per game in college and shows very little ability to execute an NFL route tree, then that's your prerogative. I'm not convinced yet
-
Instead of watching his highlights, watch 2 seasons of full games. Tell me that you don't see why people question his production level There is also a big difference between taking a shot on a QB that high and a WR. If you're right about the QB, you get a decade-long window to win a super bowl. If you're right about a WR, you have a nice piece of the offense.
-
Worries me that ~60% of an NFL route tree will be difficult for him to execute. Of course, for an E-P team like the Bills, that wouldn't be as big a concern.
-
I think we saw a bit more from Allen, but that's because he touched the ball every play. Good post! One of the other things that I question with DK is why his high-volume catch games all came against the Western Albany Agricultural Institute-type of schools. I mentioned his per game numbers; you got hung up on something that I didn't say.
-
Duck man, here it comes No, you're assuming that I'm acting that way because...well, I actually have no idea why. All I said was that, right now, he's an athlete playing football and not a football player who's a great athlete.
-
Cute. How many did he have the previous year? Without looking... And you still missed the point: he averaged 3 receptions per game. Why? I get that some of you are crushing HARD, but honestly, it's okay to ask why he didn't produce.
-
Not really. I would need to convince myself that he's able to refine his route running and up his catch percentage if I'm talking him in the top 10. I think he's an incredible athlete, and certainly has the potential to be a WR1, but I have serious reservations regarding why he didn't produce at Ole Miss. Thanks for getting political! A smart poster might've noticed that I referenced his receptions PER GAME, which takes availability into account. Seriously shocked at people getting upset about his lack of production being questioned.
-
And yet Metcalf had 30 catches last year and averaged 3 receptions per game in the SEC... To me, he's an athlete trying to play football right now You may choose to add Christian Wilkins to that list
-
I have both players slated at C.

Dillard and Taylor really could end up top 10 picks. This league is starved for OLmen, and both guys really solidified their statuses with their efforts yesterday. Taylor looking silky smooth despite a hamstring problem may, in fact, have vaulted him to OT1 on a lot of boards
-
Intrigued? Sure. Enough to spend the #9 overall pick on a guy that had less than 30 catches per season? No.
-
In all seriousness, I'm not very big on DK at 9. Just too little productivity for the talent level.

This is a very physically-strong group of WRs: Metcalf - 27 reps Harry - 27 Harmon - 18 AJ Brown - 19 F. Davis - 21 J. Hurd - 23

No thanks to AJ Brown: Trevor SikkemaVerified account @TampaBayTre 3m3 minutes ago More #OleMiss WR A.J. Brown said that the key to he and fellow Rebels WR D.K. Metcalf’s body transformations was all in the diet. Said the hardest food he had to give up was wings. “I’m a big wings guy.” 5 replies0 retweets10 likes Reply 5 Retweet Like 10

Andre Dillard just ripped off a 7.44 in the 3-cone. Bradbury went 7.41
