  1. I have had a perfectly cooked filet, and let me tell you, this is at least 3 degrees above mid-rare. The team didn't score with him in the game because Zay Jones dropped an easy-money TD and the kicker hit the upright on the ensuing attempt.
  2. This discussion is akin to when a food critic visits a Michelin-star Chef's restaurant and claims the signature dish is overcooked and bland. The customer knows that it was delicious, the chef knows it was delicious, but the food critic has to criticize something.
  3. If they're categorizing the John Brown sideline incompletion as anything other than a miscommunication, then I'm not sure they know what they're watching. It's totally reasonable to say that Allen misfired on the deep ball and the comeback to Zay. The Brown sideline throw was clearly QB and WR not being on the same page. Zay's drop was, well, a drop, and you've got one throwaway. I wouldn't call that anything other than a typical preseason day 1 for a typical starting QB.
  4. That's too many significant digits for me.
  5. And then followed that statement with a total non-sequitur because...why? That hasn't been my experience
  6. You're definitely not following the discussion here (I'm guessing that's because you're getting tagged on a lot of different fronts). I said that in your quest to be objective in spite of being an "Allen guy", you've gone too far right of center into criticizing a perfectly fine throw.
  7. Yep, that's where most of us are...unfortunately, you've let it push you so far in the other direction that you've gone noodles on this one.
  8. You have now twisted yourself into a place where you're claiming that a ball throws 5" further toward the defender would take the receiver further away from the defender. Friendly suggestion: hit pause on this discussion and re-evaluate.
  9. What. Does. That. Have. To. Do. With. The. Ball. Placement. Discussion. Okay, you've convinced me: you're not actually serious about this topic. You almost had me for a minute too.
  10. Nice cop out. We're talking about a video, not a life choice here. You can pause a video; it's easy. It will also tell you what you're missing. I'm honestly not sure if you're even being serious at this point.
  11. All you have to do is throw around a bit of football lingo like "stacks the corner" and your stance carries more weight.
  12. Clearly you are in the wrong career So is Mort for that matter--and pretty much everyone else that's seen that play.
  13. You're simply incorrect on this, and you'd be really wise not to comment on career choices of other people--in this instance, it could end up making you look even sillier than you already do.
  14. Last thing I'll say on this: pause the video at the moment the ball hits Zay's hands (basically right in front of his face mask)...you're telling me that you wanted Allen to lead him further upfield--INTO the defender that nearly took his head off? You're reaching really, really far to paint this as a bad throw...and man-to-man, it's making you look a bit silly (which is unusual for you).
  15. if a receiver can't catch this pass, then he doesn't belong in the NFL. Seriously.
  16. Borderline illegal, but doesn't seem dirty to me. Re-watch the play. Hit him clearly in stride. If that's not a pass that should be caught 100% of the time, then the guy trying to catch it is playing the wrong sport. But let's not look at it through the lens of being Bills' fans; let's get the opinion of a neutral observer:
  17. Great throw that should've been a TD. Case closed...unless someone's got an agenda
  18. That pass hit him in the hands, in stride. A mediocre NFL WR catches it 9/10 times.
  19. Generally agree Gunner. I was very happy with the QB play. I'm willing to accept some miscommunication early on, provided that it looks like it's been ironed out rather quickly...seems that that's what we saw. You and I both had Ed Oliver as our #1 player in the draft, and it was obvious on a snap-to-snap basis why. He's "That Guy". Opposing OCs will devote time to game planning against him. You can already see the trickle down effect on the rest of the unit, as guys like Edmunds and Shaq are free to make plays. My other good night guys: Feliciano Star Corey Thompson Other bad night guys: Sweeney Jaquan Johnson
  20. It happens. Good on ya for revisiting your opinion
  21. Nathan Peterman: 9/10, 100 yards, TD. Last year in our first preseason game
  22. Ah ok. Yeah tough to tell if that's an option throw or a spot throw there. Thanks for clarifying
  23. The ball hit him square in the hands.
