  1. OK FWIW:

    1. Mark is my brother.

    2. He is, in fact, very successful, as is the other gentleman quoted in the article, who is a close family friend of ours.

    3. He is not a TBD poster.  He thinks it's ridiculous I actually spend so much time on here.

    4. Their/our (I go back for a few games a year) tailgate was, in fact, the genesis of the table smash, as evidenced by the deadspin article/video from 10/5/15 in which a guy jumped through their table (at their request) and went viral (my bros and friends are right there in the video).  The phenomenon spread shortly thereafter.  If anyone can find evidence of a table smash prior to 10/5/15, please share.  We are all late 90's WWF/ECW junkies so that was kind of where the idea came from.

    5. Of course Josh Allen is in the worst possible position to succeed.  He has the worst OL in the NFL (maybe the Giants?), the worst group of receivers/weapons maybe ever?, the worst defense in the NFL, Nathan Peterman as his backup/mentor and he was perceived as a project to begin with.  Who could possibly dispute that?  Juxtapose that with Patrick Mahomes, who got to study and learn under Alex Smith for a full year, has Andy Reid as his coach and the BEST set of weapons in the NFL at his disposal.  So yeah, Mark Shepard is right.

Yeah I get it, the whole board has been a little on edge lately. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years (only posting for about 10) but I don’t know if i’ve ever seen people so touchy.

The whole interior is definitely a mess, but they did look better in the 2nd half. It needs to be completely reworked next season, I still have faith in Dawkins but that’s it.

KB has so much talent but just can’t seem to put it together which is so frustrating. After his rookie campaign he’s been trash. Unfortunately he is the best we have, I think Zay will grow with Allen at the helm too. I liked how he came back for that deep ball and fought off the corner, the bobble made my heart drop.

Usually I agree with the PFF grades but in this case I couldn’t disagree more

Look, if anyone on here goes back and rewatches every lineman on every play then I will value their opinion as much as Joe Buscaglia's.  I don't have time to do it myself.  And I don't think he knows any more about football than me but I think anyone would discover that their opinions on what they think they know about individual players would be wildly different if they went back and watched the game tape.  I trust that when PFF and Joe B are both saying that Ducasse is playing well, that he is.

Do I really need to explain what an eye test is? Whenever there is a frustrating play whether it is a penalty or pressure it comes from number 62 or 76. Ducasse is stood up on a regular basis and pushed back into the face of whoever the qbs is.

I do go back and rewatch as many games as I can which is usually a good amount of them. I haven’t had the stomach to rewatch them this year though. What I watch live varies on play to play depending on pre snap motion.

Yes xanax is amazing, always takes the edge off for me lol

Yeah we're not arguing.  As someone who does not rewatch the games, I can tell you whether or not we have good pass protection and good run blocking.  I couldn't tell you whose fault each pressure is unless they show a replay, which they usually do not.  Last game, the pass protection was as bad as I've ever seen in the first half and shockingly good in the second half.  I couldn't even begin to tell you who was good and bad on the line.  Kelvin Benjamin sucks, that I can tell you.  When it comes to the line, I have come to trust sources like PFF and Joe B.  They have both been saying that Ducasse is good since last year.  Meanwhile, guys with thick Buffalo accents are calling into GR and saying, "take out Ducasse and move Groy to guard," when everyone who actually pays attention is saying that Ducasse is actually good and Groy is a disaster.  So naturally, I'm like, what is everyone's problem with Ducasse?

Yes I randomly picked Ducasse. I just needed to rip into somebody to feel good about myself today much like youself. Go take a xanax.

You didn't answer my question.  What eye test?  When I watch a Bills game, I follow the ball.  Do you not?  Are you watching the linemen block while the QB drops back to pass and throws the ball?  If you rewatch the games and watch each lineman on every play, then that's awesome.  Do you?  And Xanax is awesome, especially with a couple drinks.

You won't acknowledge Mills' value until media tells you it's okay to...but that's okay.

    Exactly.

Through two weeks he’s been ranked as PFFs #1 pass blocker. Personally I think he’s trash and hasn’t passed the eye test at all but I know many people here hold PFF in high regard

What "eye test?"  You went back and broke down the game film like PFF and Joe Buscaglia, who also watches every play and has graded him highly last year and this year?  Why do people just randomly pick Ducasse as the guy they don't like?  It's truly bizarre.  I think we all know what a good QB, RB, WR, etc. looks like but this confirms my longstanding opinion that none of you have any idea what you're talking about when it comes to offensive linemen.

Do you have no idea that this just keeps a narrative alive that racism is an issue?  People will read this ****, especially the down state morons who slurp their paper straws gobbling down bio free whole range Thai chi latte mocha lameo.  There will be nothing to investigate this piece by those who simply want to cry foul. There will be no second thought to those who want it to fit their agenda and prerogative.  This will be the downstate Elites who really need to be thrown away believing that Upstate is just a bunch of inbred Hicks with a coach from the south.

This journalism is entirely bull ****, it is damaging to society, and the author knows that only one thing two continue to divide and castigate those who he doesn't like as bigots, racists and other pathetic beings that become ironic because he is among the worst of all of those.  This is a hit piece in a continuous theme to drop loads on middle America.

To not be outraged that this is part of a political agenda is Grand proof that you do not understand the concept of the problem.

I'll hope you get it one day, because this is dangerous and it is continuing.

?  My first "Oh FFS" was directed at the article.  And "downstate elites" hahahahahahahahahahahah!!  Hmm, who is a "downstate elite...???"

Also, it really sounds by the tone of your response that you may be... triggered?

We have 4 problems on the offensive line, being the least of our line problems is still 25% of our line problem.

I didn't say I like him.  But he isn't nearly as bad as Miller and Groy from literally every last account of people who watch and grade every play.  So, again, why do people single him out?  Look, I follow football as closely as anyone on the planet that doesn't rewatch games and grade offensive linemen on every play.  All I can tell you (without rewatching) is whether the line is good or bad.  It's obviously bad.  Occasionally when they show a replay, I will look to see where the pressure came from.  But anyone who watches a game (and follows the ball every play like everyone else) and then tries to tell me who was worse than other guys on the line is a PHONY.  Period.

    Then Why is Ducasse playing?

Why did Holmes and Kerley make the team NOT Coleman and Reiley?

Why is Mills and or Newhouse playing?

    Why wasnt McCoy Dealt?

Why was cap space used on players that wont be here when rebuild over?

This is the latest spin after they have been embarassed for two weeks.

So what happened to win now win in the future did that go out the door with 47-3?

I realize you watch the ball every play like most of us but if you actually read the experts who break down every play, Ducasse is literally the least of our problems on the offensive line.  Why do people just randomly single out Ducasse?  It's actually kind of bizarre.

It's fine if you don't like Schopp... I don't like him either.

    I also love Josh Allen.

But Josh Allen did not have a good handful of seasons at Wyoming. He didn't even make 1st team or 2nd team All Mountain West Conference at QB. All counting stats, Allen wasn't very good ... and his coach was the guy that coached Carson Wentz to a pretty dominant college career in a similarly bad conference.

The reason the Bills drafted him and some of us liked him is during the draft process and combine he got a lot better and showed improvement in mechanics ... and showed himself to be very coachable. Plus the obvious physical tools. If people strictly looked at his college career, he would be a 2nd round pick or later, at best. So ... Schopp is right in this case. There's a reason people were so angry when we drafted Allen, despite how high his ceiling is.

This is not true.  He was the 2nd team MWC QB his first year as a D1 football player in 2016.  This led to him being named the MWC preseason player of the year in 2017.  This idea that he “wasn’t good in college” is just not accurate.  I watched every game he played as a college QB and went to four of them.  But anyway.  It doesn’t matter anymore.

    ????????????

    You can't be serious?!?!

He looked like that in college... bad foot work, over thrown balls...late decision making. But out of nowhere... he'll make a few throws that will "Wow" you...

Allen is a project, he was a project during college, coming out of college... & nothing has change. He has a little talent... but was he worth a 1st like the 5 experts thought? Heck no!

Other experts like Bucky Brooks, DJ, Charles Davis, heck our own best reporters, Sal, Joe B, Fairburn, ect... all said he should be a 2nd rd pick, but given the position it's not going to happen.

That's what people got confused on. Just cause he was projected to go in the 1st doesnt mean he was suppose to go in the 1st. Projects like Allen shouldn't sniff the 1st... but it's a QB league..& this stuff happens.

This is why something's I love what McBeane has done & some things I don't.

Like, what made then not want Deshaun Watson??? What made him not worth the 11th pick 2 years ago? Yet, the Pegula's went gushing over Allen??? How you not gush over Watson???

But hey drafting Allen was bold... & like I've said... "Its a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off"

EJ & JP looked better then Allen in their preseason games... that's facts...not being negative
