Serves them right.  Their 'play both sides' tactics for the sake of money grubbing has always struck me as hypocritical.

You tell em.  Big local sports talk radio has replaced big pharma as the most corrupt industry in our country.  Howard, Jeremy, Schopp, the Bulldog, etc. are all beholden to the local sports talk radio lobbyists and are making loads of money hand over fist, while leaving nothing for the little guys who do the weekend shows.  Such a shame.

yeah I hate listening to these greatest moments since it just repeats the same ones over and over and over.

The one thing I do like about Radio.com is it actually works most of the time.  The WGR app would constantly just stop working and I would have to reset the app.

This is true.  Plus, they both play the same five commercials over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over so what's the difference.  Kars 4 Kids, Flo and her boot camp, the gay Progressive guy who has self esteem issues and is in a one man choir, the stupid lounge singer- I can't take it.  Sometimes I'll accidentally leave the app on during a break, not be paying attention and all of a sudden realize I'm in the middle of one of those commercials and almost snap.  They will drive a man crazy.

I believe Belichick had video of our practices and walk through.  We handle them in the first half of that game.

Or maybe it was mental health related and people didn't want to be viewed as unempithetic scumbags.

Oh it was definitely mental health-related.  The dude either a) did some crazy drug that I'm not familiar with or b) has some serious issues that I can't imagine won't resurface again.  I just can't believe how quickly this seemingly got swept under the rug.  We're on the same page.

Yep, back then, the Bills used to own the NFL draft. We shocked the world on an annual basis and were the talk of the draft. For example, in 2002, we gave up our first pick on draft day and traded for Drew Bledsoe. Cincy wanted him too, but were only willing to give up a 2nd. I am surprised New England traded him to us, a rival in their own division.

In 2003, we shocked the world again by drafting Willis McGahee by taking a big chance on a badly injured player who had a huge upside.

And in 2004, we again shocked the world by trading up into the first round to draft JP Losman to be our franchise QB. People were saying Losman to Evans would be the new Kelly to Reed.

I also read a comment on another board recently that Buffalo owned the off season this year. We had four of the top five news stories this offseason (not saying I agree with the poster, but it is good to see the Bills being relevant nationally--any publicity is good publicity):

    1. LeSean McCoy story

    2. Ruben Foster story

    3. Josh Allen tweets

    4. Richie Incognito meltdown

    5. Zay Jones tantrum

He was just trying to pit the Buffalo fans in their place and teach them a lesson by his threats to move the team. When I was a kid, I was raised by my paternal grandparents, who always threatened to send me back to my father's to live if they felt I acted up, since I was not their kid or responsibility. They were just trying to put me in my place. So same thing with Ralph..

The “Josh Allen tweets” are a giant nothing burger (I hate that term but I couldn’t think of a better way to describe it).  The Zay Jones incident was more than a “tantrum.”  I feel like this one got swept under the rug pretty swiftly.  That video was freaking nuts.  People have completely moved on to just talking about him with regards to football and what kind of a season he’s gonna have.  I’d kinda be shocked if he doesn’t have another off field incident at some point.

Of course you didn't find anything--it was 1982 and there was no internet back then. It was absolutely true, as a previous poster said here with more evidence. He was a clear star and I was thrilled the Bills drafted him. I watched him in practice and read news reports and he kicked butt (I lived in Dunkirk at the time, when the Bills held their training camp a mile away from my home in Fredonia). He routinely was making 50 and 60 yard field goals at the time in practice (they were all two-a-days back then), which was great for back in 1982. But I also watched (or read about) him miss every field goal in the pre-season, even though the Bills kept on letting him try an excessive amout of times so they wouldn't have to cut him in favor of Effren Herrera, who was just average. They wanted Gary, not Effren, and they were bending over backwards for him. I was only in 7th grade at the time and I didn't know why he missed all the field goals. I thought it must have been just nerves. But later on I learned it was on purpose. As the other poster said, Ralph Wilson did not pay him enough and Gary wanted out of his contract. It was rumored he had a deal already made with Pittsburgh.

EDIT: Here is Mickey's post, which supports my stance:

I'm totally aware the internet did not exist in 1982.  I can, however, find lots of information related to the Civil War, which likewise occurred prior to the advent of the internet.

Aaron Maybin...Reggie Bush(has another RB averaged neg yds in a season?)...possibly this Peterman kid at QB....

    Josh Reed?? are you crazy?

It's unbelievable that some people can be such fans of a football team that they take valuable time out of their day to spend time on a website dedicated just to that football team and be so utterly clueless about that football team.

Byrd and Levitre were good 2nd rounders in the same draft (?).  But, ya, typically we don't do well in the 2nd round.

I don't think Ellison was serviceable.  Me and my buddy used to say the following about Ellison.........

    1.  We don't have anyone good enough to start at LB

    2.  Ellison is not good enough to start, but, Ellison started

    3.  Ellison is a "tweener" that can't play in this league.  He got pushed around and couldn't tackle.  TOO small!

    4.  As long as Ellison was starting we weren't good at LB and clearly had NO depth at LB

    5.  Ellison started for 2 or 3 season and he was not good enough to start

    6.  Shortly after we didn't have Ellison on the roster.........Maybin was on our team in the same role, but, worse!

He wasn't very good but he is not in the conversation for the worst player to wear a Bills jersey in the 58 year history of the franchise.

JP Losman took every snap in 2006 and wasn't even that bad.  He led a s****y team to a 7-9 record and gave Lee Evans Pro Bowl numbers.  Does the name Bruce Mathison mean anything to you?

    Above average?  Surely you jest.

No I don't at all.  Made bad plays on the ball sometimes but utilized his speed to get in good position.  That coupled with the fact that he was a dynamic punt returner for a long time- he was a good ball player.  Jim Schwartz snatched him right up and he started all season for the Eagles the year after he left the Bills.  What does that tell you?

Leodis McKelvin was an above average starting NFL player during his tenure with the Bills, especially if you take into account that he was a dynamic returner.  The Bills have been in existence for 58 years.  You really think Leodis McKelvin is one of the four worst players to ever wear a Bills uniform?  Think before you give answers, people. Justin Rogers was bad, I'll give you that one.

Chris Watson the punt catcher and the worst cover corner we've ever had.

Yes.  I knew this thread would invite a lot of ill-informed responses (Jeff Wright?  Mark Kelso?  Percy Harvin?  EJ Manuel?).  You gotta think of a guy who shouldn't have been on an NFL practice squad.  Even John McCargo made a few plays.  Anyway I'm not scrolling through every page but in my life as a person old enough to be a Bills fan and form memories (1985 - present), Chris Watson is probably the best answer you could give.  He was a liability and was targeted every time he was on the field.  Great call.

We are probably one of the least attractive options for a FA WR.

If a FA is interested in making a team and seeing the field, we are probably the most attractive option in the entire NFL.

our QB situation will scare away all top free agent WRs, correct.

Dude you act like there are all these FA’s sitting around in July, just waiting to pick the team they want to play for.  If a guy still isn’t on a team, it’s because no one wants them.

People loved EJ, too. Every situation is different, and I pray we got this one right. Time will tell.

“Time will tell” seems to be a theme. Anyone who thinks they KNOW the answer now is kidding themselves, but not me. Even if you turn out to be right, you just guessed.

I actually agree with you on your second point.  Nothing annoys me more than people who are so over the top certain as to whether or not a guy's gonna be good or not.  As I've pointed out multiple times, literally half the posters on this website were all "BWAHAHAHAHAHA the Panthers are so stupid" when they took Cam Newton.  Yet no one is ever held accountable.  They just do the same thing about the next guy the next year, even though all they know about the guy is a five minute highlight tape on youtube over some s****y rap music (seriously, why is it always the worst rap music?)

As far as your first point, dude, EJ Manuel is a guy who was projected to go (and should have gone) in the third round in THE WORST DRAFT IN NFL HISTORY.  And it was also the worst draft for quarterbacks in NFL history.  Josh Allen is a guy who had been in the conversation for the #1 pick in an above average QB draft class (at least at the time of the draft) for a year and a half.  The Manuel-Allen comparison is just tired and lazy.  Doesn't mean Allen is gonna be good.  He could be worse than Manuel.  But Allen is a WAY, WAY more hyped and highly touted prospect coming into the NFL.

BTW, ain't no GD way I can even do one!

I would never accept any sort of payout without posting video proof.  Especially not from Omar Little.  If you were trying to catch a fat guy making something up out of the clear blue sky, you have failed.  If your goal was for me to realize that my 14th and 15th pull ups may not have been as clean as I thought, upon video review, you have succeeded haha.

Someone who works out (and works the upper back in particular) should be able to do 10-15 no problem. But for people who have a few extra pounds and haven't been working out, pull ups are really friggin' hard.

I get that.  I was just surprised that people couldn't do one.  I was shocked when Casey Middelstadt couldn't do one but then I figured, he wasn't a man yet.  I didn't know a man couldn't do a pull up.
