  1. Actually, I am very happy. My son goes to FSU and is a friend of Shawn's. When we found out that Shawn signed as a free agent for our favorite NFL team, the Buffalo Bills...we were both jumping up and down. BTW...I am from Cheektowaga and my children here in Florida are fans by BIRTH. Even though I knew Shawn would have a slim change to make it against Moorman, we figured...why not? Go for it. We figured something was going on since Shawn had interest from 3 other teams and he still picked our Bills with Moorman on the roster. I watched Shawn for years and this is what the Bills are getting: Massive leg with great hang time and excellent NET yards. Rugby type kicks, if needed Excellent holder for PATs and FGs Big guy that likes to tackle on punts... 6'4", 245 lbs
  2. I watched the Monday night game and saw one of my favorite players ever to wear a Bill's uniform play the game...Winfield. On two successive plays, Winfield tackles a back for a loss and on the very next play intercepts Aaron Rodger's pass. Pound for pound, I still think he is the toughest tackeler in the NFL. Face it...the Bills are nothing more than a AAA NFL football team that prepares players for OTHER teams. Look around the league. Aside from Winfield, there is Clements, Peters, Jabari Greer, and a whole hose of others. Face it...why stay in Buffalo when you are going to lose when you can go to a team on the rise??
  3. Had the same feeling when the Bills choked to the Cowboys... This is so Buffalo. The city is cursed and the Bills and Sabres are just an extension of Buffalo.
  4. I am done...I have to get a life. I was in Tampa (XXV) when Norwood was wide right... I saw what the Titans did to us on their kickoff return... I watched the Bills blow the game against the Cowboys on Monday night... And now...another Monday night CHOKE!! My doctor told me to reduce my stress and after tonight, I am done. Buffalo is cursed. The city. The Sabres. The Bills...
  5. Kemp authored the tax bill that PROVED that money in the hands of people that work hard and produce (reducing the top rates from 70 to 28%) INCREASES tax revenue coming in to the U.S. Treasury. This piece of legislation alone vaulted Jack Kemp into the national spot light in U.S. Politics and best part of it all...his plan WORKED!! Not only will I remember him for wearing #15, but I will remember him because his economic conservative principles were right and they WORKED!! He believed you can't tax and spend yourself into prosperity. He didn't believe in socialism. The numbers prove it...the economy proved it and today we have B.O. that is reversing everything Jack Kemp believed in. Prove Jack wrong if you disagree...better yet, read his conservative policies and tell us where he is wrong! Damn right he will be missed...he was a voice of reason and logic today in a time of utter social tax spending madness.
  6. Kemp was instrumental in cutting the top tax marginal rate of 70% down to 28% (Kemp-Roth Bill) and with that PROVED that money in the hands of the American tax payers increases tax revenue coming into the U.S. Treasury!! U. S. Tax receipts nearly DOUBLED from 1982 to 1988. Why? Those that work and produce realized that they can keep more of what they earn...and NOT give it to the government. This generated huge growth in our economy with new capital investments and encourged people to work hard for their money. Unfortately, today's president B.O. believes that government knows best how to spend YOUR money. He is moving this country into full blown socialism. B. O. stinks, plain and simple RIP Jack Kemp...you understood from your humble beginnings that your can't have employees unless you have employers first!
  7. Must win?? As Marv Levy said, "must wins" are overrated in life...World War II was a MUST WIN...and we were on the road too!"
  8. Well, we have to hope for change and change for hope...if this got B.O. to win, maybe the Bills can change for hope and hope for change too! Makes sense for me...so let's elect this guy. OMG, we did!
  9. Admit it...once you heard it was a 47 year field (a la Super Bowl XXV), you were thinking, "Oh No!" Move on recently to last year only to lose to a 50 yard plus (53 yards...twice) field goal on MNF to Dallas...only to see it again with a 56 yard attempt that was good. I really think Buffalo is cursed. There are so many forces that can't be explained that seems to only occur against Buffalo. And even Forbes listed Buffalo as the "Fastest Dying City"...One Bill's Fan at a Time: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/us_world/2...rican_citi.html
  10. The OL is 99% to blame. They are the biggest mass of men in the NFL and they simply can't run-block worth a damn. Look at Lynch's YAC (Yards after Contact). He ALWAYS gets hit even before he gets to the line of scimmage. He runs for his life, and if I were him, I would look at other teams when he becomes a free agent. If I were a RB, I would not want to play for Buffalo...and weather has nothing to do with it! WHY? There is NO push and NO drive from the largest line in the NFL. Their run blocking is TERRIBLE Lynch and Co. have to earn every yard they run. Look at his touchdown run last Sunday. It should have been a 2 yeard loss, but lynch turned nothing into a touchedown...with no help from the O-Line. BTW...where have you gone Jason Peters? Ever since you held out, why is it that YOU are giving up most of all of the opponent's defensive big plays?
  11. Our rush offense because of the O-line is terrible. Can't these huge men MOVE anybody? Lynch and Jackson have to fight for every yard they get because too often they are hit even before they get to the line of scimmage. If you can't run in this league, you can't win, and our O-Line this whole year has been frankly terrible running the ball.
  12. 1.) All the money the Bills spent on the O-line is NOT paying dividends. I am sick and tired hearing how BIG our line is when they are simply TERRIBLE at run blocking. Lynch has to earn every yard because the line can't simply PUSH anybody off of the line of scrimmage! And then when Lynch breaks one...it comes back for holding or tripping or some nonsense. You would think with all of that BEEF and physics behind these guys that they can block and push people off of the line. They don't. When you can't run in the NFL, that spells trouble. 2.) We haven't played anybody tough and real. Oakland? St Louis? Seattle? Maybe JAX is a decent team, but we didn't dominate the Jags until the 4th quarter. Face it, we were lucky. BTW...I attended the JAX game. Sat 20 rows up from where Hardy coaught his first TD in the NFL. Never went to a "hotter" game than that. Spent over $70 on water for me and my two boys. $6 for a 1.5 liter bottle!! 3.) Defensive pass rush...rather lack of it. Do I long for the days of Bruce and Biscuit. The AZ game was a perfect example. We knew AZ had a crappy running game and we KNEW they were going to pass...so where was the pressure? What happens when we play against a "good" team?? 4.) We haven't dominated all 4 quarters of a game. Fortunately during the 4 wins, we dominated the 4th quarter, but again...we haven't dominated anybody this year! Now these guys need to get to work! it is a LONG season, isn't it?
  13. Thanks... BTW...Watch Wilson's hit make it to "NFL Mega Hits" or something like that. The NFL fines him $25K and then makes thousands more from people like me that LOVE NFL follies and "big hits". Probably available on DVD somewhere...you know, add $6.95 for S&H and send your check to Orchard Park
  14. As much as I love our Bills...that was as clean and as hard a football hit you are going to see. Football is a rough game. If that hit happened to Dan Marino in his day, we all would have been high-fiving each other. Come on...admit it. We would have loved to see Marino go down and out under the weight of Bruce and Co. As much as I hate seeing Edwards hurt, that is football...otherwise, put the QB's in red "don't touch" jerseys and enforce these new "wussy" rules.
  15. I'll tell you why Bill's fans should feel stressed: 1.) All the money the Bills spent on the O-line is NOT paying dividends. They don't. When you can't run in the NFL, that spells trouble...and stress! 2.) We haven't played anybody tough and real. Oakland? St Louis? Seattle? Maybe JAX is a decent team, but we didn't dominate the Jags until the 4th quarter. Face it, we were lucky. Damn straight I am stressed!
