Jets CB Darrelle Revis says
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Munch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to disagree with you again Biscuit, at least a little bit. I think its possible that Evans could be real good with a good QB and O-line, but I can't say that for sure. It often happens that great players emerge regardless, Evans will never emerge regardless, he needs a lot of help, that by definition isn't a Beast. Guys like Steve Smith are going to shine no matter what. I just don't think Lee has that kind of desire. -

I completely agree with your argument that comparing the QB's Marshall has had isn't accurate. But clearly Marshall is the much better receiver. -

How do you know for certain that Evans is a bonafide #1 receiver? I'm not being facetious, I really want to know how you know for sure? I am one of those guys that go back and forth on this issue, because there are always undefined factors that go into both arguments. Calling people that don't think he's a #1 Jackass's to me is a bit extreme, especially using Revis' comment that Evans is the 3rd hardest receiver to cover in a 4 team division, in which he plays for the other. I would think Welker is harder to cover than Evans. Just saying. -
You hit it right on the head. Hope everyone reads this post and pays attention. This is exactly the plan Nix laid out, and so far they are sticking to the plan. I for one wholeheartedly agree with Nix.

He's at the very least better than we are at evaluating quarterbacks. -

Is this another post where I'm supposed to realized the poster is being sarcastic and show a sense of humor? And then not get upset that it was a joke? -
I hope this doesn't mean Bulaga will be there. I think this kid is going to struggle big time in the NFL passing game, big time.

Let me try to explain slowly. Just because a reply ends up on the second page doesn't mean you read to the second page. Nice try though, next time at least try to think through things before you pretend to be smart. -

I'm sold on who the Bills Draft at #9
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, because every great team gets there offensive line in order before finding a QB. It's so easy to find a franchise QB, so lets just wait for the next opportunity as they are always going to be there. Wow! -
I think any reasonable person can understand the posters point. But there's no real definitive way to know if your point is true, just as I can't prove that with a great offensive line one of our QB's couldn't be great. I would argue if you gave the Patriots Edwards and gave us Brady, we would instantly be the better team.

Do you think you can attack within the individual threads you despise, instead of posting a thread attacking crazy theories? While I understand your frustration with crazy theories, I don't see why I have to waste my time reading new posts that are sarcastic jokes. -

Ok, you're not a very good reader. I'm not sure why your not sure where I'm getting that DE's get the edge on him. I couldn't have been more clear. But your one of those guys that reads to form his opinion, instead of doing a little looking for himself. For every article you find raving about him, I can find one that downgrades him. What does that mean? Do your own research. -
Who is going to be the starting RT

Yep, and in that order too. Although I can see Bell having a shot to start if he comes into camp ready to go. -
Here's a thought: DRAFT BOTH OF THEM!!!

What should people do when someone posts a joke, when they don't identify it as a joke, such as Ha Ha or just kidding? I don't want to come on here, click on a topic, to hear the poster say "don't slam me for my post, I was kidding". Imagine if a lot of people did this, posted something delusional, waited for a response, then said relax you idiots can't you take a joke. It would ruin the site. I'm not saying anyone has the rite to get vulgar with someone who wastes everyone's time, but darn can't you understand? Deciding to side with a guy starting a post not posed as a joke, and giving the example above about you joking with someone within a post, are two entirely different things. If the moderators did that to you, you have a valid reason to be upset, but linking yourself to this example only belittles your point. -

I guess I'm in the minority. I don't like Bulaga. He seems to be a bull in the run game, but his pass protection is suspect. I see far too many college D ends getting the edge on him and just barely missing the QB (go watch even youtube "highlight" videos), the NFL ends will take the edge. I just don't think he's a top 10 pick, and in my opinion light years away from safe. -
Not sure I understand your point. I don't think anyone is saying he is an average QB, nor that anyone on our roster is better. But its about what he's worth at age 33 in respect to where we are as a team. QB rating is overrated. Kelly played 11 seasons, McNabb has played 11 seasons. Jimbo has better numbers all the way around except more int's. Lets not get crazy and compare him to Kelly and Marino. Mcnabb has no where near the best qualities of either one of these gentleman.
-
This will be another example of a long list of blunder's the Redskins have made in player acquisitions. If McNabb doesn't win the Redskins a super bowl in the next year or two, they will have to start all over again, because they will have ruined their opportunity to develop Campbell. Furthermore giving up a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th next year will stymie their ability again to build through the draft.

Some people will never comprehend what you just said. They only complain when we don't sign people. They don't think about the plethora of factors that go into a move like this. The poster says some teams just move faster. Wow. They guy has been on the market for weeks. You can't talk to these people intelligently.
