  1. I didn't think that was what you were saying before. Carry on.
  2. Wow, you're really good at the correlation = causation thing
  3. And not a single !@#$ was given that day.
  4. Whatever you say, bud.
  5. More updates, per CNN: People have been cleared to leave the campus There is no second suspect Police are still checking for possible explosives left behind
  6. Take my word for it, he's extremely bright. Must have been a bad school. I was talking to a Catholic girl I know here and she seems to know all about church doctrine. She did say something that puzzled me though, "Non-Catholics cannot take the Eucharist because they don't know what it means." I quickly pointed out to her that a lot of Catholics probably don't know what it means, and my suspicion is confirmed with this survey.
  7. Doesn't surprise me that a lot of them haven't learned about it. My roommate went through about 7 years worth of after-school Catholic classes before he got confirmed. They didn't learn a whole lot about Catholicism. Edit: Also, I was the first person to even say the word "transubstantiation" to him.
  8. Updates per CNN: Turns out the gunner had an AK-47 Campus police are still looking for a second suspect and possible explosives One witness who has spoken said that he saw shots fired into the ground
  9. No other injuries, per CNN. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/28/suspected-university-of-texas-austin-gunman-dead/?hpt=T2 Edit: updated full story http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/09/28/texas.university.shooting/index.html?hpt=T2
  10. I'm not a member, and there's a reason why. Anyone want to sum it up if they can see it?
  11. "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." -Mahatma Gandhi Gandhi was a crazy MF-er, but he hit the nail on the head once in a while.
  12. Gone the sun
  13. Read a pretty in-depth report on Stuxnet on BBC's site yesterday or the day before. It's a really interesting worm.
  14. It's in the original post: the girl before the redhead cheated.
  15. Looks (and sounds) amazing.
  16. I know CNN has been all over this guy. Every morning at breakfast, I look up and he's plastered up on the TV screen.
  17. One of my professors liked to say that Guiliani cleaned up NYC and "sent the damn hobos to where they belong: Jersey." He's from Brooklyn
  18. It's hard to give a synopsis of this one, it's a bunch of stuff about the Founders. You don't need a subscription, you just need to register with their website. I haven't paid for an issue of The New York Times in my life, and I can still read all the articles online.
  19. It's true, the ones we usually call "freaks" don't have much to do with Jesus. Sad, really. They wouldn't be so freakish if they did.
  20. I stopped reading there.
  21. Back in the day, it was 1600. Now it's 2400, that's how Sage beat everyone
  22. Do you have something to tell us, Booster?
  23. Pardon my ignorance, but he said that?!
  24. My roommate just refers to her as "a singing pair of breasts."
  25. I don't doubt it. Don'tcha just love it? Not sure if I'd say that "most people" end up this way. A large amount, certainly, but I know many believers that have had doubts and have re-examined their faith at one time or another.
