Never forget that CJ Stroud said he was one of the top five QBs in the league, and he didn’t include Josh in his list.

I said in the GDT that it was a smart move if the play clock was winding down. We did a LOT of celebrating so it probably was. And we NEEDED that extra point to make it a 4-point game. The snow was pretty bad at that point if I recall and the last thing we needed was a missed XP there because of the extra five yards. Maybe McD was playing it too safe there but since we were ahead and still had two TOs left, it was the right call.

Josh has earned the right to say whatever the ***** he wants. We shouldn’t be so ***** sensitive. Hence go Houston. I was never rooting for KC tonight anyway

This. Benford was pretty much in the right place at the right time last week on both his scoop-and-score and his pick. All he had to do was pick up / catch the ball and he got a AFCDPOW award for it. Today that was a freaking PLAY from start to finish. No luck at all involved. I was happy for him.

I’ll just add: they were stunned. The league and the networks really wanted that narrative of Joe Brrr coming back from the dead to lead his team to the playoffs. The timing of some of the flags/non-calls today were a little suspect too.

You know, I didn’t hear the morons after the game talk about how Burrow gave the game away with two consecutive picks late. Can you imagine if that had been Josh?

Doesn’t mean I’ll be rooting for them.

I understand the decision not to onside. They need a TD. Onsides are nearly impossible to recover now. If they can force a turnover here they have a shorter field to go for a TD. If they only needed a FG they might have tried the onside.
