  1. What's there to evaluate?
  2. Why would anyone believe anything he says? Seriously. This franchise has sucked for as long as he's been associated with it, and he, alone among us all, keeps getting rewarded for it.
  3. Stevie at least drops it this time before catching it
  4. We had ten minutes to draw up that first offensive play right there.
  5. He shouldn't have been on their best WR anyway.
  6. So glad my son has a basketball game in half an hour.
  7. Apparently Bills experiencing tech difficulties too. Drive all the way to TB 12 only to have EJ take a 10-yard sack and miss SJ down the sideline.
  8. What the !@#$ Not in Rochester. What the hell
  9. One team looks up for this game and it's not the one wearing blue pants.
  10. Get a break and piss it right away.
  11. Wow, that was dirty.
  12. Coming on a three and out now.
  13. The offense should give the D more time to rest. A week wasn't enough.
  14. And there it is.
  15. This. You are working to "manufacture" sellouts because nobody wants to pay to watch a team kick them in the nuts year after year after year.
  16. 1997: Denver at Buffalo. Losing 20-3 going into the 4th quarter, we suddenly turn it on. Behind Alex Van Pelt, no less. A 27-yard pass from AVP to Andre: 20-10. A 30-yard Christie FG: 20-13. A 31-yard pass from AVP to Quinn Early: 20-17. And finally a 55-yard FG by Christie with seconds left to tie it, 20-20, and send it to OT. We get the ball in OT with ALL of the momentum. You know this is going to be an epic win. Antowain Smith and Thurman Thomas absolutely gash the Broncos D right down the field. And then, with the Broncos on their heels and the Bills already knocking on the door of FG range... here it comes.... AVP drops back seven steps...and it's a freaking END-AROUND. A gimmick play when we had had nothing but success ramming it down their throats. Andre gets the ball and there, right in his face, completely unblocked, is Denver DE Alfred Williams. Boom. Loss. Two pass attempts and we punt. Given new life, Elway marches Denver right down the field for a chip shot FG and the game is over. Little did we know back then that that was NOTHING compared to what was to come.
  17. He would have someone else do it for him. Or he would have (ahem) already known which side the return was going to, and prepared his coverage team accordingly. But the point is a good one. It will be interesting to see how hard the NFL is willing to come down on one of its founding families.
  18. Before I saw the new video, I wasn't sure. Now I am. Tomlin saw the hole, knew Jones was breaking it, and decided to do what he could to stop it or slow it down. It's obvious. And whether it was maliciously designed or just a brain fart, I don't really care.
  19. So it wasn't just me... I thought Atlanta got away with a ridiculous number of poorly disguised picks. I agree. If the refs are going to let this go, maybe we need to do more of it. The problem is, a pick takes a receiver out of the play and limits a quarterback's options. So you need an experienced quarterback to run an offense based on picks. Like Manning, Brady, or Ryan.
  20. Easy. He's out of bounds. The rule refers to the BALL touching the pylon, not a foot. The feet have to come down inbounds.
  21. Because if Stevie holds on, there's no overtime. Matty Ice threw a couple that should have been picked. Was he lucky as well?
  22. We need to remember that Roddy White and Stephen Jackson have been hurt for a good portion of this season. Jackson has played in 7 of their 12 games and White has played in 9 (and has been a shell of himself for most of it, gutting it out). Today they both seemed healthy for what seemed like the first time all year. They are damn good players.
  23. I too don't get the EJ hate today from some quarters. He was fine. Did any of you watch the Jets game earlier? Geno Smith is a dumpster fire compared to EJ. I saw EJ make a nice run for a touchdown (and thank goodness for replay, because that was a criminal miss by the line judge) and make two nice throws in the late going, either of which would have put the team in position to win were they not fumbled away. The deep balls need work - Goodwin would have gotten a call or two if EJ had put the ball closer to him - but that, unlike the lack of arm strength that has plagued so many of our previous QBs, is fixable. On the list of things that lost us this game - Gilmore, Stevie, Chandler, the zebras in the 4th, the fact that we were playing a freaking road game, etc etc - EJ is so far down as to barely even be on it. He was fine.
  24. I have just kind of resigned myself to some of the worse losses lately, and almost just laughed. This one really pissed me off.
