    Justin Fields (I know it's not his first year) showed me some of that last night. He has the physical goods to be an elite quarterback if the Bears can finally get out of their own way (which isn't guaranteed). Mac'n'Zap have none of that. Neither does Tua.

    As we knew quite well during the drought, when you have two quarterbacks you don't have any quarterbacks. Unless they are Joe Montana and Steve Young, or Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe are none of those. You hate to see it. But also, you love to see it.

    Even in the beginning when he had a script, he was still throwing behind, over, or under guys and hanging them out to dry.

    This also probably means the Rams will up their offer for OBJ, perhaps to a point where we either don’t want to or can’t come close. They can’t just stand by and watch the Niners get better.

    As a Bills/Mets/Sabres/Orange fan, I have had many opportunities to engage in that activity... sometimes directed at my own team.

    And then our entire defensive corps got hurt and we had to play the Amerks' D-men in the third round. Let's hope the comparison stops there.

    If I can hatewatch at least one team, I'll put it on. These two games qualify.

    Baker Mayfield and especially Sam Darnold, to name just two. When you are playing with NFL talent all around you and most of your opponents have less than that, it masks fatal flaws.

    This is how well the defense played: Mahomes' two touchdowns were the result of that play and another where he had forever in the pocket and someone finally shook free in the end zone five yards away. Allen threw three freaking dimes to covered receivers from 20+ yards away.

    The minute I saw the kickoff go out of the end zone, I thought to myself, they're gonna score. And they did (thanks in part to a stupid horsecollar foul). But I already knew the Chiefs were going to win after the Raiders settled for a FG on 4th and short to make it 17-0.
