You’re the one who is comparing the Bills current system to the one deployed by Gilbride in 2003, not me. The two are common only in that they had QB, C, RG, LG, RT, LT. How the rest of the positions are deployed is completely different. You made the comparison yet have failed to logically explain how Gilbride’s career long deemphasis of TE play compares to what Dabol is doing currently with the Bills. Once again you become enraptured with your own commentary and then begin to intermingle it with what others have intelligently pointed out as your baseless points. You then begin to turn other’s commentary as if it is your own. A rather lacking tactic.

The point, that you so obviously missed in your incessant noise is that none of Gibride’s offenses emphasized TE play. Gilbride was notoriously pass happy in any version of his offense. What was emphasized was QB play and WR optional routes not TE play. This is fundamentally different than what Dabol is doing in Buffalo and different entirely than the Bills current scheme. Yet, you pull a comment out of the air as though it should go unquestioned. Why not simply admit it was an oversight on your part? What makes Gilbride appear pass-happy is this: He runs what everyone considers a "quarterback-friendly" offense that puts a lot of responsibility on the receivers and control in the quarterbacks' hands. They throw because they can. And it works. "A lot is asked of the quarterback," Carr says. "You've got the freedom to do pretty much whatever you want. The playbook's open to you. Run and shoot is not the same scheme as Erhardt Perkins. Keep in mind the Bills played 21 personnel because it leaves open all options. Gilbride’s system deemphasized even eliminated TE’s. This is exactly the opposite of what Dabol and notoriously what the *Cheats do, Stupid comment on your part.

I really hope the Browns blow out the Jets because that may simply pop the circus bubble, The Jets have all of the makings of an epic sideshow. It will let loose if they start losing consistently.

For this D to be truly special they will have to dial up the magic against the *Cheats. Oliver is probably the key because Marsha has historically not handled pressure up the middle very well. All that said, the *Cheats have basically owned us forever. They have come out the chute strong this year so its hard to see any weaknesses in their situation.

The Bills seem to quietly be very happy with the TE situation. Sweeney may turn into the steal of the draft. That is saying a ton because you also be saying the same thing about Oliver or Singletary (maybe even Ford) by the end of the season. The early whiff says this may be one of the best draft classes ever.

High income taxes and high sales taxes on top of this. However, at the risk of turning this thread incessantly political I would think long and hard about other options unless you truly enjoy winter activities. I know there are some who love the seasons here, including the winter. However, having lived elsewhere in my adult life I will say that the winter here is long and tedious. You literally have to have a strategy and the means to deal with it (typically a vacation or time in the sun elsewhere for at least a week in the midst of it). I did not know @CowgirlsFan had this in her. Hurray for her!!!!

I love the simplicity of the underlying strategy - we will attack your weakness repetitively until you respond and stop us from doing so. It’s too bad that the Bills with turnovers stopped themselves until late in the game. However, Dabol seems to be on to a real plan with players who can execute. Interesting comment about TE’s as the Bills were quiet in obtaining them.
