  1. IDK...the Raiders D-line isn't half bad. I don't think that pass rush has been an area they struggled with, but the Bills O-line has had one sack in two games and our running backs jammed 200 yards down their throat, plus what Fitz and Brad Smith scrambled for. Not bad. Not bad at all.

  2. Freddy got most of the handoffs, but when CJ touched the ball, usually good things happened. I didn't see too may negative runs, or have him run back and get tackled for a loss. While Freddy is here to stay for a while, I think CJ showed that Chan wasn't nuts when we drafted him.

  3. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

How about that mother!@#$er?!?!? HOW ABOUT THAT?!?!?

    FITZ!

Oh yeah. The Raiders were saying that they had won. I guess that message got

    *pulls on sunglasses*

    Intercepted.

    YEEEAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

  4. OK, time to go take my heart medication . . . I thought a Raider had the ball in the end zone pile at the end.

    GO BILLS !!!!

I second the need for heart medication. My heart was hammering in my chest from the moment the Raiders scored their last touchdown.

But we pulled it out in the end...which is what winning teams do.

    GO BILLS!

  5. Ok, so I'm kind of thrilled at our results today. But I always like to temper what I've seen with reason.

    Things I liked least:

Thigpen...well, he wasn't exactly given starters but if Fitz goes down I'll be worried.

Brad Smith's INT. Yeah, he isn't there to be a passer, but if we don't at least threaten a throw our Wildcat will be quickly countered.

    Things I Liked:

Our Wildcat EVERY OTHER TIME. It completes short third downs, which means extended drives, which means second chances for TD's and keeping our guys off the field.

Chandler-the man was a breakout. Even the threat of a game like today is going to force teams to tear up their current coverage assignments.

Fitz-what can you say? 68% completion rate, over 200 yards, Four TD's, 0 INTERCEPTIONS. It's pretty hard to knock that.

    Thing I love the most:

This week, the Bills currently have the biggest point differential.

  6. Sully is the friend who always points out that every silver lining really covers a dark cloud. If the sun is shining and you say, "What a beautiful day!", Sully will respond, "Yeah, but it will rain tomorrow." Just by chance, sometimes he'll be right.

I wonder what he'll say about the KC win?

Well, if you're right then probably something about chewing the heads off kittens while talking about how the Raiders are going to absolutely destroy us.

  7. I do think we need to take into account that NO ONE expected Chandler. I mean, there wasn't anyone NEAR him on his second touchdown. The CBS commentators were practically APOLOGIZING to Chan about bringing up our lack of production at TE. You can bet your ass that Oakland will be guarding Chandler next week.

But even then, we still win. It was when they pulled people to guard Chandler that they pulled guys off Stevie and Donny. The more people we force them to guard, the more people Fitz has to throw to. Great game Chandler :worthy:

  8. Apparently you werent watching the whole game... He stated that he just wanted to start it fresh and was starting, well, now.

He also invited everyone to beard with him.

I couldn't watch any of the game, it wasn't on the air. Thought I will be watching the entire thing on rebroadcast later

  9. My uncle is a Buffalo expatriate living in Lawrence. Gates is pretty good, but I never got to try Arthur Bryants so I can't say. Wherever you go, try the Burnt Ends. Kansas is all about beef and burnt ends are the best part of the brisket. It has a higher fat content, so it takes longer to get really tender but it has that much more flavor.

  10. I findout when we are down on this team...they surprise us!

This team could flatline to a 0-4 start or jump out to 4-0 start...

I'm hoping for the 4-0 start!

I just read Tony Dungy's book...in the book he describes the Tampa Bucs not having that winning attitude...his goal was to start a foundation of winning by weeding out the losing dead ends...it took the team a few years, but he turned the Bucs around!

Having Merriman is a plus...the Morrison signing is a plus...

Last season we quietly picked up Pears & Ubrik...unfortunately, Ubrik doesn't look good...Pears has looked decent!

I talk to Broncos fans in the area I live in now...and they tell me Pears was a great pickup for the Bills!

Im for alot of fans who explain how we really should've addressed the O-Line a little better this offseason... I think the FO put all their eggs in one basket on Clabo--but, got stiff-armed!

I'm beginning to think this team will go after O-lineman when teams cut down to 53 man rosters!

If Merriman goes on to a Pro Bowl year, I can see him furthermore lure the people to make this team win!

I really hope that our best O-line people aren't the ones who we dredge out from the cuts. Awww who am I kidding? <_<

  11. Imagine after a few weeks.

Check out that video you's guys. Why would the Bills who stink and I don't mean no offense about it give up on a guy like this?

I paraphrase the Boondock Saints II: Whenever a person says "no offense" it means what they do say is rather offensive.

Now if Maybin winds up alright for the Jets I'll be happy for him. He's not the first player who's gotten better after we left. But personally I doubt it, and one sack in a preseason game...well, let's not stop the presses.

  12. Sounds fairly solid. I mean, even if he is the new Poz this does 3 things for us:

    1) It let's us put Moats back outside if we want to. And with Merriman conceivably getting injured, decent ILBackers seem to be a worthwhile investment to make.

    2) From what I've heard while not great at coverage, his specialty is pass rush. We have no pass rush.

    3) Considering that we picked him up for one year off waivers, we'll be getting him for much less than the ridiculous $45 million that Jacksonville gave for Poz.

  13. I'm hoping that Chan can pull a rabbit out of his hat in week one: some sort of trick that he hasn't wanted to show. The Chiefs aren't pushovers, but they are entirely beatable.

Oakland: I honestly don't know about that. Also beatable, but I can't make a call on this now.

Pats: If were are going to beat them, this is the time to do it. Sadly, I really don't think that we can this season. Even at home, evern with Brady aging and the Pats weakening I highly doubt that we are going to walk away from this one.

Cincy: I think out of any game this year, is there is one where we have the best odds to win I have to go with this one.

So, in my mind I would say worst case scenario: 1-3, Best case: 3-1, most likely: 2-2.
