  1. You know i got the thinking of all the Morons that have come through the Bills organization & thought we should have an all moron team . This will be people that the Bills wanted to bring here or had given them the benefit of a doubt to be a main stay with the Bills and they just got healthy or we made something of them & then they stuck it to us or stuck it to us before they even got going !!

My picks start like this : Tom Cousineau - #1 draft choice that just flat out screwed the The Bills by not even showing up !! MORON !!

Willis Mcgahee - We made him a first round pick , let him sit the whole year to rehab his injured knee played a couple of years then bad mouthed the city & the team what a class act ------ NOT !!!!!!!!

Next you knew he was going to make it to the list . Jason Peters - He came to the Bills as a tight end the coaching staff changed his position made him one of the best at the position & turned it into all about me thing , laid out , cried , whined until the Bills saw he was more of a distraction than he was worth & traded him . MORON !!

Joe Cribbs was another a couple of good seasons & he was out of here but he was never the same so i don't know if he qualifies .

If you take what Jim Kelly did right out of college he may qualify for the all moron team but seeing as he did wind up coming here & doing for the team what he did he get's a pass ...

Now it's your turn to bring the rest to Bills justice . But they have to be some one that screwed the Bills NOT DRAFT BUSTS like Mike Williams , Aaron Maybin & others .

The balls in your court Bills fans whose your All Moron Team Nominee ?????????

First off, refering to someone as a Moron has nothing to do with what they did on the field, but with their actions, statements, etc. in my opinion.

Ralph-continually kept this team from being competitive, along with chasing everyone that is doing a good job out of the front office or sidelines (Polian, Saban, Butler, Wade Phillips).

    Buddy Nix

I would say Cousineau, but without him not wanting to play in Buffalo (because on all accounts the Bills wouldn't pay him what a #1 should get-surprise!), we never would have had Jim Kelly.

I too would include McGahee (met him at camp the first year he practice, what an ass)

McKelvin-that fumble on opening night two seasons ago in NE is unforgivable.

Marshawn Lynch-I loved his play, but for running over a lady and then just pulling your vehicle back into your driveway is moronic.

    O.J.-enough said

Jason Peters-Was never as good as he thought he was, but wanted a new contract every 12-14 months.

As far as your list, not sure why Joe Cribbs would be included on this list. You can't include Cousineau for the reasons you did without including Jim Kelly on the list also, since they basically did the same thing to the Bills.

  2. I'll start this off by saying i'm a huge fitz fan. I couldn't wait for the bills to give him a contract, thinking we finally had some stability at qb. That being said, he's been horrible the past 3 weeks. Not 100% his fault, but he can take a lot of the blame. Based on the last 3 games, would there ever be a situation where Thigpen is thrown into the game after a few more horrific performances by fitz? I don't mean as a permanent starter, but the same way a starting goalie would be pulled after giving up 5 goals in the first period to pump some life into the team. Or do we stick with fitz no matter what and let him break out of this slump on his own?

I would say that if we had a front office that understood the word depth and didn't just sign players that have connections to them personally I would have already pulled him. But, with that said, with Thigpen being the backup (Gailey connection) and the ridiculous and future franchise paralyzing contract they just gave Fitz, what would you gain by pulling him? Nothing. We can lose with him or without him as the old saying goes.

  3. The gig is up. Chan put Fitz in a position to succeed, but now the opposition has made the necessary adjustments. Chan, and Fitz, cannot counter with a different scheme because Fitz lacks the required physical skill set to make the necessary throws. "Smoke and mirrors" as Chan himself has said, meaning not enuf substance. Bills will draft a QB in round one if someone they like is there when they pick.

I hope you are correct, but I really think this front office hates to admit when they are wrong. They should have drafted a QB last year, but took another cornerback instead, one who apparently doesn't know how to turn around and look for the ball (meanwhile Andy Dalton has the Bungals headed for the playoffs). The league has caught up to Fitz and Gailey in a big way, and with the GM's inability to make logical personnel moves, the future isn't too bright for us lifelong Bills fans. You would think after all these years, it wouldn't bother fans that much and we would get used to it, but it is just the opposite, it sucks more and more every season, and every cheap front office and coaching hire that Ralph makes.

  4. If Spiller does well it will be a miracle, can't make hard yardage, can't hit the hole and his football speed is less than impressive.

I totally agree, and I hope we are all wrong about him, but he doesn't seem to have what it takes to succeed in this league, much less be the 9th overall pick. For having such speed, he doesn't hit the hole fast, he dances every time he gets the ball in his hand, he has zero power up the middle or anwhere inside for that matter. I would suspect in the near future after the Bills either release him or he becomes a free agent at the end of his rookie contract, he will basically become a return man in the league, since that is the only thing that he has even shown flashes of ability in so far.

I respect that, but people were saying the same thing about Pat Williams, before he left us and went to 3 Pro Bowls for the Vikings. And before you say positional, so was this -- the mantra was "no defensive linemen over 32' (or something like that). John Riggins had his two best years at 34 and 35. Some players are just freaks. I'd sign Freddie to a decent contract on a chance, if only as a thanks for being him (and it would shut up all the "ralph is cheap" chants)

That said, while I'm heartbroken that Jackson won't get to complete his magical season, I hope CJ gives them something where they have to design plays to use both of them.

What you are talking about are the rare exceptions, and you can always find a few of them no matter what the subject of discussion is. But signing a back over 30 to a long term contract (and I really like Jackson alot and am too sad that the one bright spot on the Bills this season is done), is like playing the lottery, the odds of it not paying off so far outweight the odds of it working out. And besides that even if they did sign him, one or two contracts (could be another bad one to go with the Fitz deal), won't shut up decades of futility and end the Ralph is Cheap chants.

  5. Firt of all you're not being fair. Our oline has been changed and been destroyed by injuries. our receivers have also gone in and out.

Put peyton or rodgers in this line up 2011 and they will struggle too. Will they put better numbers than fitz. Sure, I'll give you that. But not by much. Our online is too messed up. Even rodgers can be sacked. He had a season in 08 or 09 where he gave up 50+sacks.

It isn't about being fair? Fitz has made so many mistakes where the O-Line was fine, in fact at least up until a few weeks ago he was the least sacked QB in the NFL (not sure where he stands now but I am sure it is still towards the top). The O-Line held fine on that last play on the first drive against Miami where Fitz threw a terrible pass. They were fine at the end of the Giants game where Fitz underthrew a wide open receiver and single handedly gave the game away. I like Fitz, but he is no where near a franchise quarterback and in no way a top 5 starter, maybe a top 25 at best. If we had Peyton or Rodgers we would still be tied for first place as we would have won the Bengal and Giant games, no doubt.

  6. Let's be completely honest. If Trent Edwards hadn't been born, Fitzpatrick would still be backing someone up.

    :worthy::thumbsup::doh::beer:

The QBs have been so terrible over the last decade that we as fans, allow F$tz to be our franchise QB. He is the second coming of Frank Reich. Can manage a game when you need him to, but should be a back up.

I like Fitz, but he isn't have the QB Frank Reich was.

  7. If you ONLY look at the stats from the game vs. Miami,

it was ALMOST not a blow out and should have been closer. We had simliar numbers to them.

We even had more yards. Their number #1 wideout had 5 yards

which tells you it wasnt ALL the defense fault.

Have a look, we lost on turnover and inability to convert on third down

    BILLS DOLPHINS

    First Downs 14 16

    Total Yards 245 242

    Turnovers 2 0

    Time of Possession 28:54 31:06

    Net Yards Rushing 41 95

    Rushes 19 35

    Average Per Rush 2.2 2.7

    Net Yards Passing 204 147

Here is where the game was lost:

    Third Down Efficiency 0-12 5-12

    Interceptions 2 0

    Fumbles 4 0

    Blocked Punt 1 0

Stats, stats, stats? We lost to the Dolphins because at this stage of the season they are a much better team-all around, to include coaching and especially at the QB position and on defense by a mile. In 2010, the Chargers had the #1 Offense and the #1 Defense and they didn't even come close to sniffing the playoffs-that is what stats get you.

  8. AW HELL TO THE NO !!!!!! ANY TIME WE CAN BEAT THE PATS THATS A GOOD SEASON !!

Beating anybody, even the Patriots ONCE doesn't make a GOOD SEASON. Maybe a GOOD WEEK, but GOOD SEASON? That is dumb.

I'd rather be in mediocrity than be the ultimate losers.

We spend more then our share of time in both of those categories.

  9. Stevie Johnson's stock continues to drop.

He has fallen behind second and third receivers in the league.

He is currently ranked at #33-NO BUENO.

Yes the team sucks, line, QB etc, but there are players on worse teams that rank higher.

Dont sign this guy as a #1-He isnt worth $9-$10 million a year, maybe $6 Million...

I like him-he just isnt a top tier guy. Great #2 though.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/receivingYards/year/2011/seasontype/2

Fred is still solid as #3 running back in league-PAY THIS GUY....Not Johnson.

ALSO-Why on earth didnt the Bills sign Gronkowski-The guy is a beast, hometown kid-He would have been the face of the franchise...but we take Torrel Troup-someone nobody ever even heard of. He's a bust after one and a half season.

    Nice going Nix!

They didn't sign Gronkowski because the Patriots drafted him. Stevie Johnson has never been a #1 reciever, the Bills just don't want to pay a true #1, so they put a 7th round pick in there making peanuts compared to most NFL players.

  10. Good for him. I don't want him going out there and getting killed either while there's still a chance he'll be here for another few years. Let Spiller earn some of his paycheck that he hasn't earned yet.

Does Jackson have a bonus that kicks in at 1,000 yards rushing? Could be the organization (Ralph) be keeping him out, he isn't too far from that mark.

  11. You're exactly right. It's hard to blame Fitz too much when the WR crew drops over 10 passes on sunday. I am a Fitz fan and I think he has not been playing all that well these last few weeks, but the biggest problem on offense is a pile of dummies who refuse to catch a ball.

For every pass one of the receivers drop, and yes there have been plenty, Fitz under throws at least one receiver, or hits the defensive guy right in the hands.

  12. At least we beat the Pats. To me this was more important and satisfying than simply making it to the first round of the playoffs. At least we have this game to reflect on all off season when we are feeling down about our Bills. It was truely a magical moment and our biggest win in 17 years.

My question to you guys is was the win against the patriots more satisfying for you than us making it to the first round of the playoffs (and that's it)? If I told you it was one or the other in the beginning of the year what would you chose?

*The premise of this question is about making the playoffs and assuming we did not advance to the second round. No need to say "both" or "who's to say we wouldn't have won".

Sorry, but the notion that beating NE once is better then making the playoffs is completely stupid. I would rather make the playoffs and get beat 55-0 both times against NE, then finish with 4-6 wins every year and beat the Pats once a decade. Wow, some people really dig for positives in a piece of crap organization sometimes. That win against NE was nice, and for a couple weeks, as it turns out, people gave the Bills more credit then they deserved. Now to most, if not all, it is looked at as a fluke, as NE is winning and we are playing like the worst team in the NFL.

  13. i HATE when people say this. its bull. early in the season when we were 3-0 or 4-1, KURT WARNER had fitz as his #5 best qb in the entire league 2 weeks in a row. so you know more than kurt freaking warner???? so you dont think at that time the other 27 teams wouldnt want him??? give me a break.

give him an oline and hell yes, hes a top 5 qb.

Alot of people also had the Bills as a top 5 team too, how did that turn out? If Fitz is a top 5 QB under any circumstance, I am a freaking Astronaut who just landed on Mars and started my own football team. I sure hope you are joking on that line, otherwise you are the joke.

  14. You assume Evans would not be injured as a Bill. He went down after one game with the Ravens. Why would that not happen with the Bills. If anything Nix got some value for garbage.

    PTR

If Evans is garbage then most of our receiver corps is human waste. And how do you know he got value? They didn't make, I mean blow the pick yet. This regime has one pick that anyone with brains would bet a penny on being a star in two or three years, the rest of the two drafts they bombed, so why would you be confident they will hit on that 4th round pick?

  15. compared to edwards, jp, rob j, FITZ IS A HALL OF FAMER. TO ME, in my mind.

i had a discussion with a coworker. he kept telling me that i excuse fitz for his play.

at the end of the day, i admitted, maybe i do let him slide a little and i give him a break with regards to criticism.

i just remember the old days when once i saw the top 3 exbills qbs, i knew we would lose. we would be down 0-3, i knew we would lose.

fitz gives me hope even when we are down by many points.

anyway Im just a fan. i want the team to build around him. am in the only guy out there with the same thought??

I sure hope you don't have to take a urinalysis anytime soon.

  16. Until the Jets game, everyone was high on the Bills. They ignored the fact that the defense was playing a 3-4 with 4-3 personnel and they had no pass rush. The Jets and Dallas dismantled the defense. The offsense in a blink of an eye became the second worst in the NFL. Injuries hurt every team. Depth on most teams is thin. This is not unique to Buffalo. GMs have to save cash where they can. So now the doom and gloom crowd is out in full throat. Fire players, coaches, gm, scouts etc or sell the team.

Solution is for the team to win. Fitz mechanics have been horrid the past 3 games. Note setting his feet and sailing his passes. That leads to tipped balls and turn overs. The O-line has held up well with injuries. The need for wide out speed is obvious. SO Chan...put the WRs in motion. Prevents the jam at the line. How about rolling out Fitz to open the field of vision? Lastly...switch to 4-3, stick with it. play zone, the dbs can't cover 1 on 1. More line stunts to pressure the QB up the middle. Romo had a clear field on most passes.

Errors can be fixed. Just stop the dire, doom and gloom rants.

I don't see why anyone would be upset either? Maybe you can sprinkle some of your fairy dust on the organization and fix the biggest mess in the NFL? Waive your magic wand? There must be something you can do with all your positive thinking after getting embarrassed three straight weeks, and 11 or 12 straight seasons.

  17. I had a suspicion this was a possibility. I'd rather he starts to play better so we dont have to roll with Tyler Thigpen

I would rather we try a different option all together. Thigpen sucks, that is plain to see, he only has a job here because of his connection to Gailey (maybe they both can go). There are some options out there that have just as good (if not better) chance of succeeding then Fitz does, and would be cheaper then that disastrous contract they gave him. They could get Brady Quinn, Matt Moore, Jimmy Clausen, maybe even Tebow, as well as others. Are any of these guaranteed to be franchise quarterbacks, no of course not, but it is now plain to all, and has always been plain to see for some of us, that Fitz sure the heck isn't a franchise QB.

I think signing and then turning around and suddenly cutting players isn't going to make Buffalo an attractive place for free agents. While you can do this sort of thing in Madden, it's toxic insofar as business relationships go and the Bills have more than enough challenges landing free agents already.

Either is having a quarterback that everyone knows you cannot win with, having an owner who everyone knows winning is on the back burner, having a GM that is like talking to Judd Clampett, a head coach who hasn't been successful on his own merit anywhere in the NFL, a coaching staff that is a revolving door, an offense without a skill position player that was drafted higher then the 7th round who isnt a complete bust, and a defense that couldn't stop Ralph himself running the ball. Point is, cutting Fitz would be smart for the future of the organization, is only one of the many, many reasons Buffalo isn't attractive to top level free agents, and they really need to get rid of Nix along with him, before he totally screws up yet another draft.

lets say we end up with pick 15-20 in round 1.

what do you think it would take to move to #1? lol I half joke and I'm half serious

We are going to end up with 6 or 7 wins at best, are there really going to be 15-20 teams worse then us?

  18. FALSE !!....he is GUARANTEED $24 mil....monies that are only obtainable "if" he is on the roster, are NOT considered guaranteed money.....yes it is spread out over the years for salary cap purposes....but if they cut him today...he gets $24 mil of that, guaranteed. this so called 6 yr deal is essentially a 3 year deal before it makes sense to cut him loose. he may or may not see years 4-6....but he will definitely be our guy for years 1-3.

What is 3 more years of this suffering, it has already been 11 or 12 years, so no big deal. And please keep all sharp objects away from me.

  19. you'd have to eat $24 mil guaranteed....

    10/28/2011: Signed a seven-year, $62.195 million contract. The deal contains $24 million guaranteed, including a $10 million signing bonus. 2011: $2.8 million, 2012: $2.8 million (+ $5 million option bonus due in March), $2.8 million, 2013: $4.25 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2014: $4.35 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2015: $7.2 million, 2016: $8.75 million, 2017: $9.4 million, 2018: Free Agent

That is gonna haunt this franchise, just another example of the stupid spending of what little money they do spend.

  20. Gotta agree...three weak games, especially in second half. He isn't what Gailey needs, not terrible but not the real deal.

If you look at it, Fitz has only played on complete game all year and that was week one. Even during the brief time period when they were winning beating NE, Philly and Oakland, Fitz had one bad half each game, the first against NE and Oakland and the Second against Philly. He wasn't very good against Washington throwing picks and dropping balls for fumbles when nobody was near him. He has never been a franchise QB, and anyone who thought he was, was fooling themselves.

  21. I wouldn't say that, but I would agree that this team will NEVER win a Super Bowl with Wilson as the owner...

Exactly. For the most part, with brief periods of exception, this team has been a joke from the beginnig, and there has only been one constant since then, the owner. Like I said there have been a few short periods of exception, but how much of that can you credit Ralph? Saban came in during the AFL days and turned things around, what did Ralph do? Chased him out of town and now won't even let his name be put on the Wall of Fame, where it should deservedly be. The Super Bowl years, Ralph hired a GM with really no GM experience (came cheap-sound familiar), but lucked out and Polian ended up being the best GM in the league over the past 25 years. As far as Levy, Ralph hired a coach who had a connection to Polian from the CFL, he was a coach that no other team was interested in or even considered (came cheap-once again, sound familiar?), but he lucked out and Levy turned into a Hall of Fame mentor and coach. The Steelers and Packers are just two examples that you don't have to be in huge metropolitan areas to win a Super Bowl, but you do need great ownership, something the Bills sorely need and have for years.

  22. Yesterday we got embarrassed on offense because we have no backup center and no receivers getting open. We have a great RB, TE, FB and a decent QB. Hangartner would've stepped in an done a fine job with the QB he's snapped to a thousand times. Levitre would've played guard where he belongs and you would have seen a different game.

So we let Evans go for the same amount of money we signed Brad Smith for (about $7 mil for the next two years). If you could switch the two right now, would you? I know I would, I know Fitz would too. All you Evans detractors that say he was washed up can babble all you want, the guy got open and had great hands.

Speaking of Brad Smith, if you think you're disappointed in his production now, wait until he fumbles a kickoff return which I guarantee he will if he continues to swing the ball around when he runs like that. I am benching Smith and Spiller immediately and putting Mckelvin back there to return kicks. CJ for punts.

I'm not going to say Ralph is cheap because I honestly don't think he's with it enough to care anymore, but depth isn't just about draft picks and free agency pickups, it's about keeping your veterans who shine when you need leadership and experience. You can't play a full season without key injuries, and if your only plan is hope nobody gets hurt, you're bound to end up where we are right now-- lost.

Does anybody think the 4th round pick we got for Evans is going to help us? How many 4th round picks do we have out there now helping us?

I'm not usually a negative poster but I can't sit here and listen to our management say depth is a problem and then watch them funnel our experienced guys out the back door to save money. Depth is a problem because of your shortsightedness and failure to value the continuity and contributions of our veteran players.

    You made this bed Nix.

In my opinion he has looked and produced like a fool every since he was given the GM job. The stuff he says doesn't make sense when he talks, and he never really answers anyone's questions.
