It's then or than, or rather than or then. Please for the future Bills fans who will join this forum, please use then when then is called for and than when than is called for but don't intermix them! It's just not right. It's messed up and messes with my brain and others I think as well who know when to use then and when to use than. Thank you. I'm not naming names and I wish all my Bills brothers the best. I'm expecting some thens when thans will suffice. I might have to rename myself then and than because I've brought this up before.

we are not going to hear the real story. The death toll and the toxic fumes will be grossly underreported. It is like dealing with TASS
You're most likely right Pete. China isn't known for revealing the full story on anything controversial.

Whoever did these ratings are clowns (to a certain extent). I suppose it can be a tad difficult to rate rookies' awareness though. My brother was a Madden QA tester in the mid 90's and it was bad even back then. A programmer (Giants fan) had his bookends obscenely rated too highly and so my brother was able to notch them down to a more realistic level.
But it's been over 20 years now and the stats are still controversial. There must be some good people at EA doing the stats and some less knowledgeable as well.
What I'm wondering is when a player performs well and has his stat (awareness for example) upgraded by a +4 from 74 (initial base stat) to a 78 does that seem accurate? Or do they throw away the base number after the first game and just post a new relevant number regardless of the base. The reason I ask is that rookies' awareness is a complete crapshoot for many players until you see what they do in their first game. After a great first game performance do the EA madden geeks say ok wow we were way off base starting him off at a 65 awareness, we should have started at a 75 and now boost him up to 77.
On a side note, does Geno's toughness rating drop from a (just guessing here) 35 to a low 20's now? Can it go back up if he recovers sooner than 6 weeks? Does it go even lower if someone drops him again for mouthing off? Just things to consider.
Go Bills!

Where everyone lives? Was last year worse for everyone or this year? It has been a mild winter here in GB. We only have an inch on the ground. Last year we had snow on the ground till late March and the year before it was early April.
It's been a rather mild winter here in northern California (State of Jefferson). There was a decent amount of rain up here but not super cold at all this year. Still waiting for snow in the most populated areas.

Good stuff. I've been listening to several variations of Canon in D Major tonight. Some of it is quite mesmerizing, usually at roughly the one minute mark.
Just rewatched your linky Gompers. Thought provoking and a half. Merry early Christmas everyone, even to the trolls.

What do the guards on either side of him have to do with him getting his ass kicked one on one, time and time again. He gets ZERO push on short yardage plays.
Both guards suck, but this does not excuse Wood's ****ty play at center for most of the season.
Perhaps I need to watch more snaps to counter your assessment. Merry Christmas my fellow fan.

Someone would have to pay me to put a bumper sticker on my car.
I don't think anyone could/would pay me enough to put a bumper sticker on my car.
But I will listen to offers. Maybe we can work something out.
I generally agree with you Dean. Bumper stickers just seem cheesy to me and ruin the look of vehicles. But for once in my life I'm reconsidering and thinking of putting a State of Jefferson sticker on my truck, if not planting a flag on it.

Where were all the moms and teachers doing this kind of stuff in the 80's? Must of skipped a generation.
They were probably just more discrete back in the day.

A good Ross Tucker article from the not so distant past stated that RG is quite a challenging position to man. Considering the inadequacies at RG AND LG this season it seems Eric Wood has had to pay more than his fair share of attention to his adjacent mates. Mr. Wood can't split himself in half to help the guards and do a good job blocking his man at the same time.
Wood will be fine when decent guards are found.

We need a "donate" button.
I agree. I'm willing to throw in some $ too. This site has brought a lot of good people together. I'll throw in a Pilsner too for what it's worth.

Orton has been doing better than decent with average or less than average guard play. Give him decent guards, guards that Wood does not need to babysit, plus an extra year of experience for Henderson and see what Orton can do with that protection. The guy can flat out play and LEAD.
-
Basketball on grass better be coming our way.
-
I like Tuel but I'm glad Orton is here now. I wish the best for EJ but I wouldn't be surprised to see Orton eventually take over as starter. Basketball on grass would be fun with the wideouts on the roster.

Sammy's biological dad is Sammy Watkins III so I suppose he could be called Son of Sam. But perhaps that isn't too catchy. Maybe SW4. Or Son of Sammy. Or Sammy Watkins.
-
I'm wondering if he could play the Andre Reed role. He's smooth and we'll see how many YAC he averages.
This group of receivers is exciting to think about. Remember when Warren Moon had Duncan, Hill, Jeffires, and Givens to throw to? That was a lethal group. Our new receiving corp has some potential lethality to it.
Watkins and Williams and to a certain extent Goodwin should really open things up for Woods. If EJ plays well this group could be scary.

I would vote for Re-sign but it's not an available option to vote on. :-p

RIP. A man of great onscreen prescense. So many wonderful movies I remember him being in, the last one I recall being the Black Stallion. He was in a memorable twilight zone episode as well.
-
RIP Mr. Wilson. Without him none of us would ever be here and none of this camaraderie we have would have ever happened.
So who knew this:
He was a commander on a mine sweeper, which is a wooden boat waiting to be blown up," said Joe Horrigan, vice president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which enshrined Wilson in 2009. "He was one of the early responders after Pearl Harbor was attacked. He was at Hiroshima after the bomb. He was on the Missouri when the Japanese surrender took place. And he would never, ever talk about it.
Wow! What places he has been and what memories he had. Thanks for posting this info.

I'm here to admit I would have peed & probably pooped myself. Not 100% certain I wouldn't have cried the entire time too.
I might have pooped too but tried to be composed about it.
No kidding. If I acted like that and it was filmed, from several angles, I would threaten anyone with slow death that released it.
Lol. It's online forever and ever for future generations to see.

I just hope most men wouldn't act like him in a surprising and potentialy serious situation. The passenger acted like a girl for a bit. Hopefully most men would keep their wits about them and try to survive the situation without almost flailing their arms.
I wonder if Gordon ad-libbed a few crazy lines. He probably had a fun time.

Lol it's funny the guy went for his cell phone as if it might teleport him to safety.

Accidentally deleted my post as I was trying to click on "edit" but the delete option was just too close.
Anyway just want to say that the lighting effects are pretty cool. The ocean segment was nice going west.
Battle of Tsushima and Holodomor were absent but I can understand why.
The red army showed up but I didn't see the white. Perhaps I missed it.
Overall nice lighting effects. I hope this turns out to be a pretty damn cool and fun Olympics to watch. I hope records are broken and Olympians kick ass. And ya I guess people getting along would be nice too. The less politics the better during this event.
Jim I'm looking forward to the biathlon. The last stretch run/skiing usually gets pretty intense. Major adrenaline pumping in those athletes to the finish line. Also what sane mind can say no to firearms? In addition to this I enjoy any event involving hotties.

Didn't Mark Pike win at least one with Denver? And did Gary Anderson win with Pittsburgh?
I believe it was Mike Lodish and not Mark Pike. For some reason I would get those two names mixed up.
