  1. I sort of agree, there's a lot of things about the show that annoy me nowadays (merger talk, horrible hot chick interviews, callers promoting HTV constantly, certain guests that they have on way too much like Dee Snider) but even with its flaws it's still light years better than any other radio show. I mean does it get any better than Steve Langford accusing Eric the Midget of eating his own booger!? Ya, my favorite part of the show has always been the 6-7 hour when Howard and the gang would just talk about what's going on in the world. Also any time they get Ronnie or JD into the studio is great!
  2. A "good guess at the time"? Right............. Isn't he running on his supposed foreign policy credentials and judgment as commander and chief?
  3. The Republicans today consider racist segregationist Jesse Helms to be a "patriot". "To rob the Negro of his reputation of thinking through a problem in his own fashion is about the same as trying to pretend that he doesn't have a natural instinct for rhythm and for singing and dancing." - Jesse Helms "The Negro cannot count forever on the kind of restraint that's thus far left him free to clog the streets, disrupt traffic, and interfere with other men's rights." - Jesse Helms "University of Negroes and Communists" - Jesse Helms, in reference to The University of North Carolina “No intelligent Negro citizen should be insulted by a reference to this very plain fact of life. It is time to face honestly and sincerely the purely scientific statistical evidence of natural racial distinction in group intellect. ... There is no bigotry either implicit or intended in such a realistic confrontation with the facts of life. ... Those who would undertake to solve the problem by merely spending more money, and by massive forced integration, may be doing the greatest injustice of all to the Negro.” - Jesse Helms
  4. I wonder if John McCain still thinks that the anthrax came from Iraq?
  5. Coming from a person so needy for attention he puts not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE quotes in his signature!
  6. I don't blame you then, I mean at any moment an eskimo can come out of nowhere and beat you with their snowshoes!
  7. No it's not, going to Dairy Queen with a gun makes you a giant douche, and hijacking a thread about a horrible crime in a Canada to spout off about American gun politics makes you the biggest douche.
  8. Waaaaaaaa I can't carry my gun into the Dairy Queen waaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! By the way you do realize that guns are a subconscious phallic symbol right??????
  9. a) They already are b) Then why are gas prices falling because of Americans driving less? c) The profit margin for gas stations decreases as the cost of gas increases (credit card charges are based on the dollar amount of gas sold) d) Explain please
  10. I'm not talking about the profit rate. I'm merely pointing out that big oil has much to lose by Americans cutting gas consumption and emphasizing efficiency. This reminds me of the Chris Rock "I take care of my kids" bit.
  11. Todays tracking poll, Obama by 4. Yesterday he was up by 3. http://www.gallup.com/poll/109279/Gallup-D...-Advantage.aspx I'm not sure why gallop even bothers with the national poll, wouldn't they be better off just doing it state by state?
  12. We're still talking about 5 billion dollars of profit that they would never see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the rudest poster I've ever seen on this board. It's no wonder PPP has the reputation it does.
  13. From the US Deptment of Energy http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/aeo/otheranalysis/ongr.html The projections in the OCS access case indicate that access to the Pacific, Atlantic, and eastern Gulf regions would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030. Leasing would begin no sooner than 2012, and production would not be expected to start before 2017. Total domestic production of crude oil from 2012 through 2030 in the OCS access case is projected to be 1.6 percent higher than in the reference case, and 3 percent higher in 2030 alone, at 5.6 million barrels per day. For the lower 48 OCS, annual crude oil production in 2030 is projected to be 7 percent higher—2.4 million barrels per day in the OCS access case compared with 2.2 million barrels per day in the reference case (Figure 20). Because oil prices are determined on the international market, however, any impact on average wellhead prices is expected to be insignificant. So McCain's solution to high gas prices is one that requires waiting to 2017 and that would be "insignificant" to oil prices. Think about this, why have gas prices been falling lately? It's because of decreased demand, exactly what Obama is suggesting. Umm if "Big Oil" sells 13 billion less gallons of gas at 4$ a gallon wouldn't it stand to reason that's 52 billion dollars that they will never see? That's true.
  14. I actually don't care if we drill for more oil offshore I just think it's being misrepresented by McCain as a quick fix to high gas prices. I also think that the crap Obama is taking for his tire inflation suggestion is unfair.
  15. Whats your source for 3 years? 2017 is taken directly from the US Department of Energy. And no one implied that this is something that would be enforced by the goverment.
  16. 9 years, the amount of time before we'd see any oil from offshore drilling.
  17. 4 million isn't 10 percent of 400 million, it's one percent.
  18. Would you care to correct me then rather than just making a smartass response please?
  19. He's not wrong, 4 million times 365 times 9 = 13.14 billion gallons of gas that could be saved using Obama's suggestion before McCain's offshore drilling even produces one. But of course at 4$ per gallon that would cost McCain's oil company overlords over 52 billion dollars!
  20. The difference is that it's 4 million gallons of gas per day that we can have tomorrow versus the 8.4 million per day that will be available at earliest 2017.
  21. Could be, I used to play on intrade alot. I lost a bunch of money when Bush nominated John Roberts. At the time Alberto Gonzalez was the favorite to get the nomination and throughout the month he kept fluctuating so I kept buying in the low 20's and selling at around 30. No one was expecting the nomination to come for a while but Bush came out suddenly and nominated John Roberts before I had a chance to sell. It was alot of fun though!
  22. I still haven't tried S&D, isnt that where you die you don't respawn?
