He will want a big payday after last season. Not sure the Bills will be able to commit what he may get elsewhere.

Could be, but there are a lot of FA RB’s this year. Running back might be the least valued non-specialist position in the league. Beane is smart to say “we are interested” to his reps and see what shakes out. The Bills are definitely adding a running back, just how many, and from where.

If Lamar sits out the entire year would he become a free agent?

Technically what's stopping the USFL or XFL from offering him $10 million dollars to play this spring to help tide him over this season while generating huge PR for their league?

I just want to see Lamar stick it to the Ravens and the league at this point. This is straight up BS.

    What’s BS about this?

I think Bates is fine if he is your worst starter on the line and there are better starters all around him. It's very difficult to have strong starters at every spot.

Yea, I’d like to see them move Bates back over to LG and draft a RG on day one or two.

  4. I really hope Beane and McD agree on what players they want. Bills don’t have the luxury anymore of the slow development model for rookies. The philosophy on the team needs to evolve to developing youth on the field so they are ready for the playoffs.  I fear it won’t though, since I’ve heard McD talk about the rookie wall regarding players like Groot… At very least allow the rookies to work way into starting lineup through the year if worried about load management like they did w/ James Cook.

  5. The defense relies heavily on skill and less so on scheme. The Bills rarely come out of Nickel…they mix up sending a backer and dropping a lineman or sending an additional man on a blitz…but for the most part it’s about the “Jimmy’s and Joe’s”. I fear McD’s loyalty to someone he loves and respects will cloud his judgement on what is necessary to keep the D elite. Plus it is McD’s Defense, what would be great is to find a cord who uses the 4-3/Nickel a lot but also mixes up into different formations to confuse Offenses.

  6. Bills beat them 2 out of the last 3 times. The only loss didn’t have as much to do w/talent as it did coaching.

Lets see what happens in the SB before we drown the Chiefs as the gold standard for player personnel.

He was probably in that top 3 conversation but if i remember correctly, Peyton was still considered the best in the game despite a 2-0 ring disadvantage. It was probably around when Brady won his third that he started to be considered the best, or even maybe the 2007 season when Brady exploded statistically.

Because Allen played behind an elite line this year? Allen's like was below average this year. What makes you think he would get killed going from one below average line to another?

Do yourself a favor and don’t engage him in a QB discussion.

I don’t agree with that. I thought that Josh was throwing kill strikes more in the Miami game than he had in previous games

The funny thing about it is nobody was complaining whenever we use them to go up 17 to nothing the only started complaining whenever Miami started coming back

I think that they need to be aggressively efficient

Could we use the word “assertive”? 😁

Kinda hard to give McD coach of the year when the Bills were betting favorites to win the SB coming into the season.

Couldn’t disagree more. What this team has gone through this year is unprecedented. There isn’t a better leader of men in the NFL than McDermott.

Beats me. Bills have a problem at WR that’s why Brown and Beas are here at this point. It’s a little bit of desperation. While the talking heads want to put it all on Allen, the Bills know they have an issue.  If they worked in Shakir earlier they might have less of an issue. Sadly it looks like they let a solid WR slip between their fingers because they never got a good look of him on Sundays.

Shakir made a couple of very moves catches. Every wr has drops. Look at Waddle the first play of the game for Miami’s O.

On the rare occasion I post on another teams forum I always start with "I'm a Bills fan and here's my two cents for what it's worth".  I like hearing from other fans as long as I know who they're team is.  If they come on here and throw out crap without identifying their rooting interests then they're just trolling.

There is a growing number of posters here who are fans of other teams. As the Bills have had more success the number has grown. I have been a member here for 15 years and came to the board for 5 years before that.

I appreciate you saying what you did. Being genuine is usually the way to go in any aspect of life.

Does kind of feel like the OL has just been waiting for an excuse after what Wilkins did in the first game.

That’s how it goes. When you are a dirty player it shows up on film. So yea, Morse turns around and sees 94 messing with Josh, again, and steps in.

Same thing that normally happens...Cincy goes dormant a lot during games. Kinda like being up 22-0 against NE in the first half and then not scoring again and holding on for dear life for a 22-18 win when the officials bailed them out on the Stevenson fumble at their own 6 with NE about to score a TD to win.

They will come out firing after half.

What, you were expecting Beasley to take all of McKenzie’s snaps?

I was expecting it.   Shakir took more snaps the week McKenzie was out after the Ravens game.  I  think we’ll find Beasleys’ snaps increased but Shakir took the majority of them.

Only if he can figure out how to get open on the shorter routes.  He’s still a work in progress.

As a rookie I would expect “a work in progress”.
