Wow. I did not say ONE WORD about EJ in this thread, but somebody else did, yet YOU reply to me, and chastise me for something I didn't do. That's amazing. Why didn't you reply to badobeelz? IN THIS THREAD, my ire is at the coaches for their idiotic & non-responsive play calling. And truth be told, had they mixed it up, and run some play actions, or some other "safe" pass plays, EJ would probably had a few more TD passes in that game.

Yes, the ONE offensive TD vs. the Fish was quite a display of offensive firepower /offensive play calling! <Rolls Eyes> At this rate, Carpenter will be one of the highest scorers in the league, amongst ALL players, not just kickers.

Television coverage map for Bills vs. Chargers
John in Jax replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where do you live? How about a sports bar? -
Well now, I guess the obvious question to ask is WHY did the Bills' coaches keep going back to the same type runs, even though they were getting stuffed? It ain't Rocket Science out there, but OTOH, you have to be smart enough to realize what's happening right in front of your face, and if needed, MAKE A CHANGE. Great job guys (the OC & Maroon)! Low risk is one thing. Running the same type plays, that are failing miserably, over & over again, is IMHO, incompetence.

Vikings place Peterson on exempt list
John in Jax replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So I guess this means that that one Vikings message board that was sanctimoniously shut down is now back up and running? LOL So there are (other) businesses out there who DO condone child abuse or domestic violence!? -

The Viking leadership is a joke. Bowing to "public pressure" never turns out well in the end, because then you have to wonder who is really controlling things, and you're subject to every demand when some nutjob group says do it for "social good." The NFL is also pretty pathetic, as already stated above, with their total inconsistency on these types of matters. Although I guess we shouldn't be too surprised, I mean they've been doing the same thing with holding & pass interference calls for decades now. LOL -
Good post. I pretty much agree with you, except for these two things: 1) There is no doubt that there are indeed some Bills fans who have blinders on. If you don't see that, then YOU also have blinders on! LOL 2) I'm far....far from "miserable." I am very happy with both my life, and that the Buffalo Bills are 2-0, and I can finally feel proud of being a supporter in front of my friends & coworkers, and not get laughed at. Also, to "billsfan1959": in my post from just a little while ago (where I referenced post #38), I did acknowledge that I used a pejorative in my initial post in this thread, and I even apologized for it (I said "Sorry"). Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing. LOL

Well, as I've already stated, my initial post in this thread was just me agreeing with two other posters about EJ's shortcomings (See Post #38). PLEASE GO BACK AND READ POST #38.....I defy anyone to say that "Stopthepain" is off the mark with his calculated assessment of EJ. The fact is that I agreed with "Stopthepain's" post, where he stated that EJ is "nothing more than a game manager." In this thread, we've seen many of EJ's supporters feeling just fine with that notion. Sorry, but I don't agree with, or want that role for a Bills QB. I'd like a real QB. I also agreed with "sullim4" who stated that the Bills' red zone production was a big concern. I pointed out that of course, the QB (EJ) has a very prominent role in red zone operations. Any yes, I did take a pejorative shot at all those EJ fanatics who have blinders on, and who are running high on emotion because of the 2 Wins. Sorry about that (even though it's true...LOL).

Oh, I watch every Bills play closely, but well, you know, commercials, timeouts, halftime, etc give me plenty of time to see other QBs in action. Of course then there's all the other games I peruse when the Bills game is over (think TNF, SNF, MNF, 4pm games, etc). So yeah, I get to see a lot of other QBs in action.

Yawn. Once again I was simply responding to someone else's childish jab at me, when they stated that "I was getting spanked." Why didn't you chastise the guy from Hemet for his childish post? If everyone else can keep it on topic, and refrain from the childish remarks and backhanded insults, of course I would have nothing to respond to. But sadly, there are many in here who when they see a differing view, get all bent out of shape, and feel the need to go on the attack. I usually go to a sports bar every week, and see MANY games, so there's that.
-
The only thing getting spanked tonight is in your hand. And YOU just got PWND.
-
OK, seriously? You're using the same argument that Tebow backers use to say that HE would someday be a great pro QB because he had great numbers in college. How did that turn out?
-
Ok, so I guess you're talking about this post? Personally, I'm not "so invested about being right or wrong about a player." The latter would be the angry name callers who apparently can't stand it when someone else has a differing opinion than their own, then they let the insults and denigration fly. Me personally, I'm just here to waste time, have a little fun, and give a solid, well-founded opinions based on 40+ years of watching NFL football....and it ain't rocket science out there! LOL Also factoring in to my opinion about EJ is the many times I saw him play while he was at FSU. You know, there's a reason why most NFL draft experts did not have EJ going in the first round.
-
EXCELLENT reply to ADawg's inane plea for everyone else (except him, of course) to just shut about when it comes to discussing the most important position on the team.
-
You make some good points, and I agree with you. But that doesn't mean that there's not a ton of room for improvement from EJ, and that if the Bills had a high quality QB right now, they'd be a legitimate SB contender. Also, what's rather funny is that in my first post in this thread, I simply quoted TWO other forum members who correctly pointed out EJ's lack of skills in certain areas, and agreed with them.
-
I'm LMAO here. Why would anyone ever trust some Internet stranger?! Especially one from Hemet? Get a grip, man.
-
at MarkAF 43: I don't hate EJ, and I hope he turns into an All Pro quarterback. But right now IMO he's a below average QB, notwithstanding what his official stats are. For me!? Lol....not at all, not even close. You must be thinking of Greggy, the insulter.
-
You know, you're absolutely right, and it was very noticeable. I was hesitant to mention this, just because I get tired of all the personal attacks and "hater" accusations. LOL But if you watch Kaepernick, or Wilson, or any other spry young QB, when they take off running, they go 100%, and look like they're shot out of a cannon. EJ looked like as slow as molasses on the few times he had to run it yesterday. Guess he's worried about those knees, which is understandable, but it leaves the Bills with one less "weapon" for sure.
-
Yep, that's good. But as has been noted several times already in this very thread, it's not because of EJ's sparkling play that the Bills have won those two games.
