I think a lot of this season wins and losses will come down to how our defense can handle the switch to 3-4 and stopping the first half scoring slaughter we faced last year and against the run. In a close game that comes down to how we handle the 4th qtr, I would hope we can pull it out with Trent under center. He's done okay with clock pressure despite DJ's poor game management abilities. optimistically predicting 9-7.

The Bills are not moving to T.O. Ontario doesn't want them. But !!!! right now as we speak two , thats right, two NFL style stadiums are being built in California one in L.A. and one in Anahiem, I believe. The Bills are headed west. I feel that is why Ralph isn't spending any money on this team...high payroll makes low profits. High profits make a team more sellable. The minute Ralph hits room temp they are gone. I also believe that a pre-mortum deal has already been struck with promises of great things on the other side to those who tow the line. OUT!

Great observations, and thanks Philster for giving us some great insight, for those of us that don't get to see our team developing through practice first hand, we can take all of these great reports we've been getting in and get a pretty decent idea of how things are actually coming along.
Myself personally, the trust that not only Trent Edwards, but also the other 3 QB's have in Chan Gailey and the offense he is installing is going to make all the difference in the world.
Getting back to staring down the WR, staring down the receiver has been a problem for Trent ,but in my opinion its partly to do with the pocket collapsing and TE being flushed out of the pocket constantly. When a QB gets flushed out of his normal routine, he switches over to instincts and has to improvise on the run. I'm not saying its always been the case, but in my opinion the more continuity/protection you get out of the O-line, the better a QB can function, go through reads, and look off safeties properly.
To know that Trent is past staring down the receivers as has been the problem in the past will take actual real game type pressure situations/pass rush in my opinion. It will also take an O-line show of improvement and proper scheming/play calling to set the table properly for a good evaluation.
With that being said, I do have every confidence in the world in Chan Gailey's ability to design a good offense and also in getting his personnel to execute a good offense which only equates to good things for Bills fans and on the Win/ loss column in my opinion.

I can't believe anyone would try to rally support for this QB. What happened to the promises from that fossil Wilson that we were going to get a good GM ( Buddy Nix...not), a good coach ( Chan Galey....not) and God willing a proven quality QB....NOT
More of the same with a whole bunch of built in excuses for defeat already. I.E. New 3-4 players in positions they have never played before. -

I'm looking at it from the pragmatist angle. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 500k kids going to bed under government roofs every night. The abortion numbers, depending on who you believe, are between 500k and 4,000,000 annually.
Let's assume that its the lower number. Let's then assume that abortion becomes illegal. Let's also assume that means half as many women get pregnant "accidentally". Half of those end up being born (because making abortion illegal isn't going to stop it anymore than the Drug War has kept LSD off playgrounds). Half of those end up in the system.
That means in 4 years the number of unwanted children in America that the government is providing for is now a million.
We have a hard enough time providing for the kids that are already here. Let's get that knocked out before we grow the problem exponentially, shall we?
