Don't post the idea of Favre in Buffalo!!!
You'll piss off the Gibran Hamdan Fan Club!!!

Q1: Do you think all these elements will be enough for Buffalo to have a good change to beat Seattle.
Q2: Are you also concerned that a loss to Seattle and probably J'ville will be a problem for Buffalo, to overcome
and STILL make the playoffs assuming a 10-6 record is a given.
Buffalo does seem to start slow.
Q1: Actually, Yes I do. We all know anything can happen. I was totally unimpressed with the lack of improvement at QB last season.
I am hoping for an improvement with Trent and Turk and we should see one.
I'm hoping for a better Defense against the Run, and that the poor run D wasn't masking a horrible backfield.
As I stated before Seattle I feel is not a great threat and I give the Bills the win. That's my opinion.
Q2: I had a problem with losing to Denver !!! A game we should have not lost. But I digress..
I have the J'ville game as a big ??? Last season the Bills kept it close for most of the game until the errors in the 4th that allowed 17 points. Having A Train as RB was a HUGE mistake. Having JP as QB was a HUGE mistake!
The score was 14 - 22 at the begining of the 4th. After a 7 minute drive (7:58 remaining) J.Losman pass short middle intended for J.Reed INTERCEPTED at JAX 33. followed by J.Losman pass incomplete, J.Losman pass incomplete, J.Losman pass incomplete.
I'm of the mind that if we can run the ball well and avoid the Losman meltdowns we can win on the road there.
Will it ruin the playoffs if they make it? No.
It would be any loss to a poorer team like AZ, KC, SF, that will kill their chances
The Bills used to start strong a long time ago. Here's hoping for that to repeat itself.
At worst the Bills whould be 3-2 @ the bye on OCT 12th.

There is only 1 thing I want to see in the Putz future, OK make it 2...
Tom Brady no longer playing QB and 1 or 2 defeats per season to the Buffalo Bills.
-
Looking at the schedule again, this game just keeps attracting my attention. Buffalo generally doesn't start well.
1. Seattle had one of the better D's in football lest year, like # 6 in points / game: Problem for Buffalo, big problem.
2. Seattle was ranked # 9 in points/ game.
3. Don't expect a Buffalo team with new OC and first time starting QB to be clicking just yet.
4. Have to give coaching advantage to Seattle as well.
I really think this may be a "must win" for Buffalo, as starting out 2 - 3 will be a death sentence for this team in the AFC, IMO.
Times are changing.
Expect better than a Steve Fairchild BS gameplan.
Seatle better D came from a creampuff division.
Eliminating Losman improve wins.

He's a Pat*.... doesn't that mean the punishment should be doubled?
Correction.... he WAS a Pat*... according to a sidebar mention on that link, he's been released from the Pats*...
Link: http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/footbal...Willie_Andrews/
Sorry, he's no longer a Pat*.... they cut his sorry azz as he sits in jail w/o bail.
So much for witness protection in the drug sting...

nobody cares about any of this crap as soon as lynch gets into the endzone against the seahawks...
I agree. Sure Lynch messed up by not coming forward sooner. How many people make mistakes?
I do wonder what the "dancing lady" was doing to make him loose his focus.

Peters needs to wait his turn.
It's more important to know or secure the future of Evans before we worry about Peters.
The Buffalo News is reporting the details of the contract extension signed by OG Brad Butler on Wednesday. The deal adds three years to his contract worth $8.8M of new money and locks him through 2012 at an average of $2 Million a year. Base $945,000 (2008); $1M (2009); $1.55M (2010-12)
And as a reward for waiting might get much more cash than Butler

the vegas line is meant to do one thing... suck you in and take your money.
How much did vegas make on the Giants defeat off the Putrids.
Miami 2, Jets 2 that's 4 right there.
Pick a few more with uncertain QB's like KC and Arizona, two more.. Now you have 6.
Home games ... Raiders and 49 ers Now you have 8.
HOME then away Seahawks and Rams ..
Last season there were 3 close games and with an improved team Buffalo can win ... Denver, Cleveland and Jacksonville.

You forgot to mention ST's
Will void on special teams be filled? Buffalo Bills Report
'It's no secret that a large portion of the veteran savvy that has existed on Buffalo's special teams units the past five seasons is gone. Dirty work players like Sam Aiken, Mario Haggan, Ryan Neufeld, Josh Stamer and Coy Wire are no longer on the roster stripping the team of 26 years of special teams experience.'
You might say they are nobodies... But the Bills have had one of THE best ST's in the NFL for 3 to 4 years runing.

Maybe you should pity the guy... He's wearing an 17 year old shirt!!!
I'll root for nearly any team that plays the Putz!!!!!!

One of these days, you might actually make it into the 20th century. It might take a while to get into the 21st century, however.
Of course, I live in a state that does not allow supermarkets to sell beer, so I do not have a lot of room to talk.
I lived in Allen Texas 4 years ago. 20 miles north of Dallas in a dry county. To get booze I had to drive 20 miles. To get beer I only needed to go 2 miles as the store sold beer before they passed the new law.
Ironically ... at that time it was still legal to have open containers while driving.

I couldn't find him in there, but that is a great read and resource. Thanks again, LA, for doing that each year. By the way, I am going to win it this season.
Barring major injuries again, that Edwards does not regress like JP did, and now that we don't have Fairchild to blame...... I can see 12-4, and I can see no worse that 10-6
Anything worse and I will consider it a complete failure. (again)
Why? Because I think the Bills will improve more than any of the following:
Seattle, Oakland, St. Louis, Arizona, Cleveland, Kansas, San Francisco, Denver; then 2 x Miami and the N.Y.Jets!
Leaving ONLY Jacksonville, San Diego, and New England as true competition.

One of the biggest knocks on Trent Edwards coming into his first full season as a starter has been his arm strength. Obviously,
Obviously, some people just want to complain w/o looking up details. It's "simpler" that way

O’Connell said Shpeley is single, employed and “a very sweet person” who does not follow professional football.
Shpeley, 27, of Milton, Ont.,
A Canadian? what is a sweet person doing on the streets of Buffalo at 3:30 a. m??
According to WGRZ-TV, Channel 2, staffers of a nearby bar said the woman, who was lying in the street for about 15 minutes, got up on her own and walked to an ambulance. Police said she was treated for minor injuries.

What's the deal with Bills in Toronto tickets?
There's still a boatload left
1. They cost too much
2. they are a seperate purchase from the Season Tickets
3. you probably have to wait for the "Lottery" to be over
4. gas is too expensive
AND
5. you need a passport

The Putz failure was imminent.
When you are pass happy offense and have 80 TD’s in the air and 30 on the ground you are going to get defeated in the playoffs.
Both Philly and Baltimore had the game in the bag before they blew it and lost...
Or did the Pats get enough on game film to make Brady Mr 4th Qrt ??
Plus ... Name any other team that led the league in passing and scoring that won a SB.
-
Sorry to confuse you, no I was not reffering to Trent Edwards, but to the Buffalo Bills organization as a whole. Anything less then the playoffs is unacceptable. However Trent Edwards will play a crucial role in making the playoffs, his talent, brains and leadership will help get us there. thumbsup:
Leadership on the offense, something thats been missing since the days of Jim Kelly.
EVERY QB plays a crutial role!!!
Yes, I would love to see a playoff game. And because of the schedule I expect it. BUT my criteria isn't hidden behind an "I love JP" motive. As long as Trent improves and doesn't show a lack of progress like Losman did then I'm willing to accept the end results.
by a former JP Supporter.
-
Being a huge J.P. Losman fan like I am, I've been pretty low key about Trent Edwards, but that doesn't mean I'm not very excited about Trent Edwards. The maturity Edwards shows and the calm and confidence Edwards instills in the young team around him is something you cannot gauge or put a price tag on. Trent Edwards is a born leader, if the offense follows his example they will become unstoppable.
All the pieces to the puzzle are in place and the mighty Turk means business fella's, lets do it
Something good is brewing in Buffalo, something real good, can ya feel it!!!!
Maybe you should change the title... It indicates that Trent only gets this season to prove himself.
After the first 5 words ... I had a feeling anything after has to be biased. But your post is Pro Edwards... so huh????

It's been days now... When will this HOT story break in the media ?
-
WGR has no credibility, when it comes to the NFL
IMHO WGR has no sports credibility period!!!
-
That'd be cool by me.
All I'm saying is that things might work out for some of these other teams too in 2008 and they could be "surprise" teams. Like Cleveland was in 2007. Nobody knows.
My only counter argument is that you imply the Bills did not improve in the offseason.
If the Bills D would have stayed healthy they "could" have been better. Who knows maybe 1 or 2 games worth.
-
On the other hand, the Bills are not the only team trying to improve themselves. The Jets were a major player in free agency, for example. Not saying that's all going to work out for them, but they are definitely not the same team as they were last year. We got Stroud. They got Faneca. Still, your point that this isn't the most difficult schedule still stands, if for no other reason than its the NFC West and has Miami twice.
Yes, the JETS spent a lot of money. But spending a boat load of cash doesn't equate to success.
I have the Bills splitting with the Jets as I do every year.
Every year teams change w/o a doubt, just look at Cincy and Cleveland.
It's my opinion that the Bills are a better team than Cleveland, Denver, Arizona, San Fran, St Louis, Oakland, and Kansas.
I don't need to even mention the pathetic Dullfins.
Which team(s) above has a Franchise QB that will be leading their teams to glory?
Yes, I know that also includes Trent.
-
Our pass defense and run defense both rank in the top 15 in the league.
That right there could have gained the Bills 2 wins in 2007 and should help gain them wins maybe even against the cheaters*

As much as I hate to say it...
They still had the talent to do so. What's their excuse for going 16-0? Well, besides meltdowns from the Ravens and Philly who had them against the ropes..
The real question we need to know is ......... Were then still cheating after they got busted @ the Jets game?
