  1. He should be rated as a pro-bowl LT - not just as a good LT. Once you reach a certain level you have to always be judged at that level.

Fool me once shame on you, ....

The Pro Bowl selections are not always correct. The Bills should wait until this season is near over before they cought up big $$$.

And ONLY after Lee Evans contract is taken care of.

  2. "• On the flip side, what's not to love about Bills' second-year starting quarterback Trent Edwards? He completed 80 percent of his passes at Jacksonville, going 20 of 25 for 239 yards and a 119.8 passer rating in Buffalo's 20-16 upset of the 0-2 Jaguars.

These Bills are for real, folks. This is not a mirage of a 2-0 start in western New York. "

Banks has been on the plus side wrt to the Bills thus far.

    It's still a long season.

    9. Buffalo (2-0). I never thought I'd be putting the Bills ahead of Indy, San Diego and Jacksonville. But the Bills have a legit defense, and guys like Ashton Youboty and Marcus Stroud are playing Pro Bowl football. Buffalo deserves it.

  3. "Bills beat the beleaguered Jacksonville Jaguars 20-16 Sunday"

Really ESPN, I think they say this crap because every single panalist with the exception of swami picked jacksonville to cruise. Im tired of Alien head clayton jimmy johnson hair having mortensen and the rest of them. all of them.

I agree ESPN is full of do-do's

but were they lying ? No, they were not. The Jags 3 starting O linemen were out.

  4. This was pulled from the Bills report card article:

C-Averaged only 2.9 yards a pop and didn’t have a run longer than 11 yards. That was Lynch’s 11-yard TD run, which was a terrific effort.

I still feel we need to improve on that factor. If we can get that average up thats only going to help the passing game. I know its only week 2, I understand that. I just want to see more holes open for Lynch & Jackson is all im saying.

It was the Jaguars Offense that was banged up, NOT their defense. Considering no 3rd QTR play Lynch still had 59 yards in a shared duty.

  5. No, this is not another "waaah ESPN hates Buffalo!" post. It is, rather a "Rick Reilly is an overrated hack!" post.

Seriously. He mentions Charlotte, a city with no pro sports team more than 15 years old, and no major colleges, and not Buffalo? Sheesh.

Well not to digress into ESPN hates Buffalo but ..

Look at the ESPN 2008 AFC East Standings

JETS, NE, Buff. WTF? The Bills scored the MOST points, and tied for fewest points scored AND they played the tougher team.

Not to mention that they ranked the Bills D and ST's 13th. what the :pirate: ?

    Over to Pete Prisco

    Sportsline Power Rankings:

    #15 Buffalo Bills

Are they now the favorite in the AFC East? We'll know more about this team after they play the Jaguars on the road Sunday.

I will give him credit for this

Let's not be hasty, unless we're burying the Pats Ranked #17!!:huh:

  6. The respect being shown the Pats after losing Tom Brady is just too funny. That team is going to do a nose dive and absolutely no one in the media has the guts to say it. It's like they're afraid of making Bill Belichick mad. The Pats demise begins this Sunday when the Jets unload a world of hurt on them. The NFL media has as much cred as MSNBC.

    What?

Where have you been? I've already heard it in the media to stick a fork in NE more than once.

WRT the JETS that's another issue. It's Favrelous until they lose.

  7. Vic's been tough on Buffalo these last few seasons. Maybe he's offering some kindness.

Until proven differently who should be above Buffalo, with a WIN the Steelers, ??? with a Loss SD, and Indy. I'd list Jax but with injuries to the O Line the Bills should be a better team this Sunday.

Then followed by NE, Denver and Cleveland.

  8. When you walk the walk you get respect.

Favre is a "commodity", the JETS "spent" a lot of money on upgrades, etc etc etc

All (most) of the midia BS is hot air.

The local idiots in DC (Washington Post) are calling the Bills the ArgoBills weekly because they believe the Bills will move to T.O.

In one month when the Bills are 4 wins or better you'll see them jumping on the bandwagon.

Hell If the Pats beat the JETS Sunday with Cassel you will no longer hear their Favrelous praises.

  9. With this schedule we'd have to be embarassed NOT to get 10 + wins.

If Edwards plays smart, the Defense stays healthy and the "practically" new ST's play lights out for the 4th straight year we stand a god chance.

And some people here laughed at me in the spring when I thought the Bills would have 10 + wins

  10. Where is the love from the National Media? .... After 1 week. Don't hold your breath.

The ONLY way for Buffalo to get "love" from the media is to start out 6-2 at best and play a tough close game in any loss.

They have to (and will) beat a beaten up Jags team like the beaten up SeaHawks team.

Then they have to defeat the Chargers and New England before they get true respect.
