TL;DR - Bills COO says no to the Dome and discusses many of the issues related to moving the Bills home game to Detroit because of the big snow event.

Paging Mods...if this should be merged into the Stadium thread, please do so.

DETROIT — For the second time in eight years, the Buffalo Bills needed to escape a harsh Western New York snowstorm for cozier confines in, of all locales, Ford Field.

This isn’t the type of winter destination that insists visitors pack sunblock and flip-flops, but Ford Field offers shelter not found in Western New York or other Rust Belt markets.

As such, the Motor City is a beacon for desperate NFL wayfarers.

I have had essentially the same issue for many months. Typically I click on a forum headline from the News page and it will open to the bottom of the second page of the thread. I have to click to get to the first page and then scroll up to see the OP's post.

I'm using a laptop running a Chrome browser. This is the only site where I have this issue.

this was actually a “feature“ that has gone away. The idea of being that we mostly serve return users, so many people have already read a portion of most topics. if they clicked on one of those headlines it would take them to the last unread post in that topic.

As a new topic?  I don't know....but these issues been brought up in threads pretty recently.

Can I ask what about this thread bothers you?

because it has nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills and the only thing it does is devolve into political fighting. Maybe you haven’t dealt with this horseshit for three years, but some of us have.

We have posters here who still talk about the number of children that Travis Henry fathered, and Jim Kelly's off-field exploits 30+ years ago.  JMO, but I think the apparent anti-semitism exhibited by a player who was on the team last season is fair game.

all right then. Why don’t you go ahead and tell me when the last conversation about Travis Henry’s children occurred as well as the last time Jim Kelly’s exploits 30 years ago was discussed as a new topic.

    I’ll hang up and listen.

Dan Snyder is a dirt ball person and water is wet. We have to be honest the NFL and the owners are dirt balls. If you think it is just one or two owners I think one is very naive. I don’t think Washington Commanders are going to improve on the football field with another billionaire that is out of touch with reality in Jeff Bezos who is the most likely future Washington Commanders owner. The whole system is corrupt and rigged more than it ever has been with less competition which isn’t good for the customers it is what it is. Jeff Bezos, Jerry Jones there dirt balls they get your money that should be working for improving your lives not only there’s. I honestly saw no on field improvement with Terry Pegula, Ralph Wilson, Seymour and Norty Knox it really didn’t matter the fan was screwed either way they all got huge amounts of public money. I don’t believe any of these billionaires are someone you want to hang out with. Most of them that point out bad behavior are the ones doing the bad behavior. It doesn’t matter what political party you belong to there all corrupt. Just remember this piece of wisdom from old BSF who is very old. Where there is money there is corruption nothing is changing with Jeff Bezos potentially Washington Commanders owner he will rob the fans and get more public money for his billionaire toys. So I see no real difference the NFL owners are horrible rootless people. You can’t start alternate sports leagues even if you wanted to if the NFL is getting public money you can’t compete when the NFL owners have stadium deals that get all the profits from community built stadiums same with the other sports leagues. We were better off in the 1970’s with multiple sports leagues that served communities locked out of the NFL, NHL, NBA monopoly today in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

It is definitely modern minimalistic style that is why seeing the stadium renderings I don’t like it but I am old, cheap and part of NFL past the pioneer NFL fan. But I am not young and that is who PSE marketing is looking to impress so they can rip them off price wise. This is especially important when Josh Allen will potentially be on the down side of his hopefully Bills Super Bowl winning career when this new Bills stadium opens. Nothing in that new Bills stadium renderings today I didn’t see dollar signs for PSE they couldn’t be anymore obvious. The three Buffalo’s come off as phony pandering to Bills fans in a cheap to do it way. Those Buffalo are all around Buffalo. It also says to me here is a olive branch Bills fan we know half of Western New York wanted this stadium downtown here is three Buffalo statues pretend your not in nothing irrelevant Orchard Park for 4 or 5 hours don’t forget to bring your iPhone and spend lots of money inside our new Bills stadium can PSE be anymore obvious. I can’t stand PSE and the whole NFL ownership culture of greed but again I am old I am supposed to feel that way as a Bills fan so I am good. You kids today have no idea how much better and fun everything was in sports back in the day. Not just sports everything in entertainment was cheaper $600 for a concert ticket today that is crazy. BSF likes $20 for a concert, $5 for Little Three basketball doubleheaders with free parking, $5 Buffalo Bisons games if you had to pay sometimes free tickets, Buffalo Bills games $20 and free parking at my aunt and uncles. Buffalo Sabres were expensive because they were good parking was free or $2. Buffalo Braves NBA basketball games free tickets through the Kleinhan’s Jr Braves Kids club man it use to be nice in Buffalo. Large pizza $5 back in the day today if you get a $5 coupon off a pizza special it is a small victory in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

figure out your paragraph breaks. I’m not reading that.

Meh... looks like the old one what do I know

Are you saying this looks like the current stadium? Because that’s weird.

If I was to nitpick anything it’s that the renderings give off a very shiny, modern vibe to an area that is distinctly not that style.

My sense is that it would feel kind of off in OP. I could see a stadium like this in a place like Chicago with tremendous amounts of great architecture. Hopefully I’m wrong.

I’d guess that 2/3 of the lower bowl is uncovered as well as about 1/2 of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th levels. I think even some of the upper level will not be under complete coverage. I really hope I’m wrong and it’s a pic of bad angles.

you have to trust that they’re not lying when they say 65% of the seats are covered. I just don’t think you can get to 65% with your description. The only way this makes sense is that 40,000 seats are covered and 20,000 seats in the lower bowl are not.

now, I don’t know what it means to be undercover if you’re in the lower bowl and the roofline is 50 feet above you.

I think they are using a see through structure to ensure more natural lighting, and to not make it feel enclosed. Which I like, just wish they overhung about 20-30 more feet. Would make all the difference imo.

I do believe what we see is pretty much what we’re going to get, with maybe a few surprises that they don’t want to disclose yet. But I do believe the awning is pretty much going to be what we see here. I just hope it’s more illusion in the pics and in person appears to be much more.

I want games in the rain and winter without having to be soaking wet in 40* temps.

Just have to figure out where the fans are in each third and who is included in the 65%. I'm guessing 2/3 of the lower bowl is uncovered.
