  1. make a real point or get out of my thread. thank you.
  2. No, it's not. Unlike most fan trades where they try to unload their crap for someone else's stars, you need to trade value to get value. Depending what Lynch would fetch in the open market, we could improve another area of our team substantially and not be much worse off. Sure you may be trading depth, but that is reasonable if you upgrade your starters.
  3. Well, yes - I alluded to that. It was the play-calling coupled with his style of running. About the only thing he doesn't do is make himself into that little ball like TT did when going through a small hole. We've had a lot of back come through here since TT left and FJ is the one who most closely resembles him and last night was a very Thurmanesque night.
  4. Lynch is a nice back who tries really, really hard. However, I'm not sure his results are commensurate with the effort.
  5. this was more of a style observation, but clearly the production needed to be there in order to observe the style.
  6. Google not helping me today. It was some ridiculous 150-3 type of stat.
  7. looked an awful lot like Thurman Thomas last night. Catching those screens, the patient running, the sliding through the holes on off-tackle runs... Anyone else get that impression?
  8. Hey! I was going to start a thread about that last night. Whenever Gruden would try to be forceful with his voice - he sounded exactly like Jaws does.
  9. The call was hitting Trent "low", not a late hit. The problem is that he hit him mid-thigh.

  11. it was a picture perfect tackle and a horrible penalty.

  14. what???
  15. are you really back after all these years? That was a good 5 years in between posts.
  16. 1700+ or abouts... I forgot what set that off.
  17. I saw you there and was sweating bullets... We crushed the old record easily.
  18. The problem with your "story" is that the errors that LM made had nothing to do with the strategy. No one is arguing that LM didn't make several mistakes, it's just that running it out wasn't one of them. A fumble can happen to anyone. Trying to fight for additional yards and getting stripped can happen to anyone (who lets it happen). Again, the issues you raise are in execution - not strategy.
  19. They would still have one left which ruins your argument.
  20. Seriously. Get a grip. We're discussing strategies here. "Fumbling" is not a strategy. It is a mistake. The choice wasn't between fumbling and taking a knee. Fumbling wasn't the logical conclusion of running it back. It could have easily happened on the 1st handoff to Fred Jackson if we kept the ball.
  21. if by that you mean he was covered like a blanket, then yes, he almost broke it.
  22. This isn't true and the media error has been discussed many times this week.
  23. It was NOT me - it was Ellison.
  24. no, it's not. If he takes it out - they get it past the two minute warning negating an effective TO for NE.
  25. I think we have a winner.
