Coming in to visit on friday from frigging charlotte area. Any places to recommend nearby.

You have many choices. I'll toss you a few suggestions:

McPartlan's Corner is/was regularly voted as one of the top fish frys in the area. I think it's pretty damn good, but maybe not the best:

Mister Dee's is my favorite place to stop near the airport. They have very good beef on weck, wings, fish fries...and just about everything else. Good bar, good prices, nice people. It's hard to go wrong with Mister Dee's:

Other good ones include:

Edge of Town.

2310 Genesee St. (near Pine Ridge Rd.), Cheektowaga.

893-4476.

Mr. Bill's Restaurant and Bar

1500 Cleveland Drive

Cheektowaga, New York 14225

634-0783

Now, Danny's is VERY close to the airport. I have found it acceptable, most of the time, but uneven. You can do better with the others listed, IMO, if you have time. If not, Danny's will probably be fine.

It's been a while for me. I'm sure others can give you better up-to-date info.

As Dean indicated, McPartlan's is good, as is the Buffalo Brew Pub (corner of Transit & Main).

Creekview (Main St in Williamsville) is decent as well.

I used to bartend at the Creekview. It has always been very good.

Both are literally a spit from the airport, both serve an excellent fish fry.
