It's funny when Bills fans say <insert scrub> is a good tight end. It's just that being Bills fans, most of us have no idea, what a good tight end plays like. Gaines couldnt catch aids in an african brothel, but he was a great blocker and surprising after the catch for a 270+lb guy, and presumably dirt cheap. I seem to recall that Gaines got $2Mil+ per year from Detroit, not exactly dirt cheap... But I rather liked Gaines, too, especially for a mid-season pickup.
