Steely Dan Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 I have no problem believing these things. If you watch the video of Palin it's really funny to see her blaming the media. In the first two weeks after she became the VP candidate the media had a love affair with her that few have ever seen on the campaign trail before. She seems to be unwilling to accept that her gaffes and her lack of perceived competence is by far more her fault and not anyone else's. The handlers aren't the people responsible for her complete lack of knowledge. It didn't seem like she took much of an effort to understand the things that were causing her to look Quaylesk. Just didn't have time to go to UTUBE for the video interviews. I just didn't think that there would be so much personal anger directed at on of the candidates. Usually it is between the staffs. Nah, just making sure everyone is sure that Palin if FOS. So much for her wanting to control spending and what her fiscal morality is really about. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books. So much for her ability to understand Joe Six Pack. Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request. Who the does she think she is? I hope she does make a presidential bid because the late night talk shows will be hysterically funny. She's going to get chewed and spit by big time political games.
