What makes you think that a battering ram that runs right at you is so hard to game plan for? Some of these experts actually believe that Lynch and his 'beast mode' is something special these NFL defenses haven't seen. Look at when Lynch went down last year against Miami. Jackson played decent, but he doesn't bring the same big play ability as Lynch. With all due respect, I disagree, Fred Jackson in my opinion is the better RB and until Marshawn Lynch proves differently Jackson should carry the load. Most people will judge a RB sheerly on his YPC when there is so much more. Marshawn Lynch is still a work in progress, folks sometimes forget Freddie Jackson has more experience then just college and the NFL, Jackson played two seasons for the Sioux City Bandits in the National Indoor Football League (2004) and the United Indoor Football League (2005). He was named the 2005 UIF co-MVP in 2005 as he ran for 1,770 yards and 41 touchdowns. Yeah, we definitely got a quality guy when we snagged him as a FA. YOOOOOO Posted October 29, 2008 Share Posted October 29, 2008 It depends on how fast a fan can identify a player's skill level.I recall this same type of denial in regard to Losman...we don't know yet ..he's in his 4th year but he's still a rookie...the offensive coordinator blows....etc etc....you know the type of stuff that was going on. For me it's not difficult at all to judge a RB, all pro offensive line or not. Easiest position on the field to judge. If we had a Thurman Thomas or even a Joe Cribbs back there, they would still stand out as players. Great RBs make Olines look good, Lynch doesn't have that type of ability. Behind a great Oline Lynch would run for 1200-1400, so would plenty of other RBs, but he needs a GREAT line. Wow are you for real.... Lynch behind this OLINE ran for 1100+ in 13 games last year..... Since you seem so hellbent on pointing toward the statistics of both guys, you seem to be forgetting the most important one of them all. Marshawn Lynch - 6 Touchdowns Fred Jackson - 1 Touchdown And not many of them have come easy. What would Lynch have to do to prove "differently?"
