"This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the message said. "Then, al-Qaida will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush."

SITE Intelligence Group, based in Bethesda, Md., monitors the Web site and translated the message.

"If al-Qaida carries out a big operation against American interests," the message said, "this act will be support of McCain because it will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaida. Al-Qaida then will succeed in exhausting America till its last year in it."

Just goes to show that the massive Obama media machine works - even overseas they equate McCain with 8 more years of Bush. Not a surprise, really, since the source of AQ information on the candidates is the Post and the NYT. They basically hear what the electorate hears. It's not an endorsement based on dialog and carefull study of the candidates platforms, lol.

AQ could care less who is President. They are out to destroy America using all tool available including propaganda. They are already here and do not care who is President .They view the average America as weak willed and they are right.

But Obama is one of them or so the right wing says so no need to attack when you have planted one of your won in the white house.

Al Quaida I'm sure would rather have a president who will wave the white flag of surrender, leave Iraq, and let the terrorists grow stronger as President Obama sits and talks with terrorists who will lie without hesitation.

McCain is gonna punch them in the face... and keep punching until they wilt.

Which type of enemy sounds more fun to you??

They are suicidal if they have to sacrifice one of their own they will. They want this country destroyed ...period. They dont have the 'feelings ' and lets discuss the matter like you do.

Speaking of OBL, good news for him. Last night's local news featured an article on a really small, portable home dialysis machine! No longer will he have to race across the desert and the mountains with his generator and dialysis machine piled on the back of camels.

Christianne Amanpour says he's actually in a villa ... so perhaps it's not an issue any more running around with his dialysis machine, fearing any day that Bush will smoke him out of his cave...but there will be more room for his treadmill and stuff with the new, smaller footprint.

If she knows where he is, why doesn't she tell us so we can wipe him out?

That's exactly what I'd like to know.

Her point was that he's pretty high-profile in his neck of the woods and if the US really wanted him that badly, we've had had him.

Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said the U.S. may be vulnerable to a terrorist attack during the next six months, with violent groups more likely to try to take advantage of a new president and administration.

``Any period of transition creates a greater vulnerability, meaning there's more likelihood of distraction,'' Chertoff said in an interview. ``You have to be concerned it will create an operational opportunity for terrorists.''

He said that would be true whether Democrat Barack Obama or Republican John McCain is elected president on Nov. 4. That comment undercuts McCain's argument that the U.S. would be more in danger of an attack if Obama, 47, wins.

Chertoff said not all threats the U.S. faces are physical. As head of the administration's effort to secure the government's computer networks, Chertoff said technicians are upgrading the so-called Einstein protection system to detect and disrupt cyber attacks. Currently, the system can detect hacking only after it has occurred.
