Since when is Schoebel only 243 pounds?

Might as well make him an LB at this point. We need an LB with Crowell gone, and at 243 Schoebel will get blown off the line if he lines up at DE.

I think they 'shave' a few lbs off ALL the bigger guys in those profiles - that allows 'em to list that 450 lb. tub of goo Jason Peters at 340

Schoebel has lined up at DE his entire career. Say what you want about him, but he's held up pretty well over there, put up some very good sack numbers. To move him to LB now might... just MIGHT... be the dumbest suggestion we've heard yet.

Maybe the rapid weight loss explains his huge drop off in production last year. I can swear he was list around 280 lbs a few years ago

he's played at about this weight his whole career. in the offseason he was asked a lot about it (by fans) and he indicated that most pass rushing DE's are playing around this weight range despite what they're listed at.

well if he really has played at that weight, with our perrenial problems at LB it's worth considering using him like the Pats used Willie McGinnist. Opposing offenses were never sure if he was an OLB or DE. worked well as he was in on several big plays and there for all 3 championships

we might see it a little bit. Chris Brown mentioned a day or two ago that we might sometimes give a 3-4 look in our defense.

Nobody really knows what weight Schobel or any other DE is playing at, but IF his play is lacking and he appears to be getting pushed around, this is the first question that will be asked.
