VOR Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 I was thinking about the show today, and remembered an article I read before this season started (can't find it online) that said they will find earth, but that it could be during any period of time, like past, present or future. So here's my theory of who the last cylon is and when they find earth..... I think the last cylon will be Baltar, and they'll find earth about the time of Jesus Christ. Reason being, in the first few episodes when Baltar still had his beard, and the women were escorting him around covered up, I could see a resemblance. And there's the whole, Baltar talking about God. Plus JC and the whole cursifixation, rising in three days. Cylons come back from the dead. Interesting theory. Except that humans were fairly primitive back then compared to now, and especially the technology that brought Batlar et al to Earth. Humans would have been much more advanced back 2000 years ago. I am free to agree or disagree with it. That being said, I like the theory but am unsure if they have the balls to do it since I am sure some right-wing religous freak will organize a national outrage and want to ban all GE products. Perhaps the Cylons? i took it to mean: "the expedition to find earth", as in starbuck will bring them (cylons, human, etc.) to their death.... those who are trying to find earth.... but obviously they all can't die.... The show's losing a lot of it's luster to me. It's obvious the writers are just making crap up as they go; the "big reveal" at the end of season 3 clearly shows that. It's very disappointing. Fezmid Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Anyway, can someone explain how Tigh could be a cylon? Hasn't he been with Adama since the first war? It makes no sense. Tigh was my favorite character on that show. Easy - the writers are making crap up as they go without any real planning. There was an interview with one of the writers that went something like this (I believe it was for the end of season 2): Writer: We were going to have someone from the crew find some guy in the forest. The crew member would ask, "Who are you?" and the reply would be, "I am god." Interviewer: Really? What were you going to do with that? Writer: We're not sure, we just thought it'd be a cool ending to the season. WTF?! After reading that, I realized that the writers had no plan for this show. I wish I could find the link...
