The ratings in the local TV markets in Buffalo, Carolina, San Jose, Anaheim, Edmonton would be insane. Other hockey cities will get decent ratings. Nobody else cares. Price it right and the fans will pony up the dough. In fact the NHL can tell NBC to go pound sand. The NHL will be the first direct-to-the-consumer sports league!
