Bills Tried to Trade Up With NO

Recommended Posts

I woud have thought Tennessee at #3 would make more of a trading partner.

They would have known the Bills, Jets (Leinart I think made more sense here), GB and SF would not have taken Young.

Only obstacle were the Raiders at #8 (thought I suppose that is 50?50 and a big gamble - though I don't think they should have picked Young anyway - but that's another post topic).

The Titans were said (on Sirius) to have a problem with ticket sales. Young will sell thousands of seats and make them tons of money. Whether or not this will translate into wins is certainly debatable.

Yeah and that's the BEST reason for drafting a guy: ticket sales.  :)

Do you think that for a minute I condone this? Good God, the players I like are in the trenches. They are not box office smashes.

I was merely reporting what I heard on the radio. :)

Taking this with a VERY BIG grain of salt, Bob Glauber of NY Daily News said on Cold Pizza this morning that the Jets, GB and the Bills made offers to New Orleans for the 2nd pick.

Did anyone else see/hear this?

Interesting.

So basically you are telling me we wouldn't have been the first, but the second morons not to take Reggie Bush if we traded up... :):)
