Ok, lemme modify my feelings. its a bull sh-- rule. why are endzone rules so f'ed up? the ball can be OB and you can score, but a guy catches a pass, gets 2 feet down, a knee down, and drops it when his chest hits the ground, and its not a TD?

In this case the ball was moving and he was also going down when the catch was being made. He didn't catch it cleanly. He could have caught it cleanly, carried it in then have the ground lose it and it WOULD HAVE COUNTED.

 

Like anywhere on the field, if the ball is moving... You can't trap it. It is in the act of a catch.

 

And it is clear the ball was "Still being caught" when it touched the ground.
