Bills bars in San Francisco?

I looked over @ sfbabb.org (San Francisco Bay Area Bills Backers) and noticed they had a spot not that far away. I'm just wondering if those types of setups are open to anyone coming down, or do you have to be "in". Going to be up there just saturday to sunday and was looking for somewhere to peek in and check out the game and have some beers before heading to the airport.

I bet its much easier to find a Pats bar, aka Brady Lover's Bar, in San Francisco then a Bills bar....just a guess though....

You are in luck. There is a nice little tradition in SF (that was started by The Senator and myself back in the early 90's...please, no applause)...the North Star Cafe on the corner of Powell and Green. Here's a little profile:

Pretty cheap and a LOT of fun. Anyone is welcome. There was actually a TB Bucs fan there last week flying his colors. His sneakers were great. I think he had a good time surounded by Bills fans. Course, he helped that his team won, I'm sure.

Meet us there and I'll buy you a drink!

You'd be surprised at how hot the babes who come to watch the Bills at the North Star are. Of course, none of them will talk to me after half-time as Aaron gets me too wasted. Bastard!

Nah, I roll in around 10 and it's no problem.

As long as you don't mind standing, you're good to go.

How busy does it get down there?  Trying to put off getting up as early as possible.  Guessing get there around 9ish?

I'll try to get there early, how's the seating? I'm good @ standing and drinking. Might want to grub up tho. A buddy of mine and I are hitting a concert the night before @ the Greek, so might need to get there and shake out some cobwebs <_< Both pretty hardcore with the Bills, just both left town.

Watch it:

You're coming to San Francisco and you've already said, "hitting" "Greek" and "hardcore" in the same passage.

At the North Star look for the charming little foul mouthed bastard from the falls who hits on every chick (particularly the redheads) - that would be the Dean.

How hard is it to get there from the East Bay??? It would be cool to hang out with other Bills people but that is a long drive home if lit up! <_< Not sure if I could handle the Bart and then transfering to Muni, if thats what it took.

Actually, It's a very easy transfer. Get off BART at Montgomery and walk 1/2 b lock to Market and 3rd. Take any of the following buses (30, 45 or 15) to the corner where Columbus, Stockton and Green meet. The NS is one block up Green at the corner of Powell.

It's way easier than it sounds.

Getting back after drinking with these freakshows...now, that's a-whole-nother story.

Exactly what I was thinking as I was reading your directions. After spending 6 hours in a bar watching football, some of even the simplest tasks become become pretty daunting. Just have to figure out a reason for my wife to come into the city for the day. She can go shopping for the day and just drop me off. <_<

If Dante can get to 3rd and Market, I'll meet him and walk him to the Bar and back. Somehow I've managed to stagger back home the past few outings.

NOW you're thinking! Actually, getting there is easy. You could just give her a good reason to come into the city to pick you up.

Anyway, if you get there, make sure you stop by and say "Yo".

I live in Dublin and go to Cupertino with the SJ group. I used to live down there and still have friends there, so I visit them after the game. It is the same distance as SF, but I don't have to pay for parking or bridge tolls.
