marck Posted August 22, 2005 Share Posted August 22, 2005 I was reviewing the Bills active roster which presently has 83 players. Assuming Kevin Everett is moved to the PUP list, that leaves 82. Here are my first 13 cuts: Steve Baker - P/K Lawaylon Brown - DT Tony Brown - WR Wendell Hunter - LB Rob Lee - CB Daniel Leger - S Evan Oglesby - CB Will Peoples - WR David Pruce - OL Lawrence Richardson - CB Kevin Thompson - QB Daryl Towns - LB Marvin Ward - CB This leaves 4 more players to make the cut to 65 on August 30th. Then we have the cut down to 53 frpm which we can add 5 players to the practice squad. Looking for opinions on who else will get cut and if anyone thinks there will be any SUPRISE cuts. eball Posted August 22, 2005 Share Posted August 22, 2005 Thanks, this will help the better teams such as the Bills keep more of their talent. 414341[/snapback] PS doesn't really help a team keep talent, since any team can sign a guy from any other team's PS to their regular roster. what it DOES do is allow a team to bring a player into their system, learn their terminology, practice with them, etc., so that if a guy on the roster is injured there is a resource to tap into. So If someone else wants them to their 53 man roster they can grab them. After the 24 hours are up they can sign with their original team or anyone elses practice squad.
