Jesus even the Browns seem like a tough win after the way our Oline played the other night. I don’t know that he has necessarily been solid though. With one arm, he’s basically another guy off the practice squad. May as well rest him at that point. 1 Quote

I don’t care what we do.. sign Shaq Lawson, play Javon Solomon at DE. If Bosa isn’t right for the playoffs, it doesn’t matter if we make it or not, any team we play will have all day to throw. Nevermind the fact that since Bosa’s playing with one hand right now, he’s probably as effective as Shaq Lawson. Quote

Joey Bosa has been completely ineffective for 3 weeks due to his injured wrist. And Rousseau only seems to play well as a complementary pass rusher. Can someone explain to me how we are not better off letting Bosa sit out for 2-3 weeks and allow his wrist to heal a bit? If our best pass rusher is barely functional due to a bad wrist when the playoffs start, what's the point of making the playoffs at all? If we are going to have any chance, it would entail allowing our defense to get as healthy as possible. What am I missing? Unless this is a situation where a few weeks of rest won't do anything for Bosa's wrist, then I don't understand what we are doing here. He's not helping us in his current state. There is no one else who can generate a pass rush. Rousseau has been invisible. Already playing Sanders out of position at DE. Quote

Bring in Shaq and use more Epenesa in the meantime, sign/promote someone on the Practice Squad, hell, I don’t know, but it would be hard to do LESS than Bosa is doing right now, and that’s why I am proposing this. Bosa is an elite pass rusher when healthy. If we don’t have that, this team is 100% going nowhere in the playoffs (if we make it). I would rather not make the playoffs at all than get the 6th or 7th wild card seed and watch Bosa continue to rush with 1 hand. Perhaps the only silver lining in the latter is yet another year of playoffs without a pass rush might be the final straw for McBeane, and that is a good thing, even though it’ll be sad to see them go. 1 Quote

I would say you are assuming we are going to make the playoffs... I think with Bosa the pass rush is attrocious, I cannot imagine what it would be like if he wasnt there... Rousseau is another A level contract for a C+ player he simply strikes fear into the heats of no one... that said... sit him out... miss the playoffs... something needs to give here... maybe that is exactly what we need... I dont know what to make of this fire drill anymore. Quote

It's legitimately difficult to have a lower pass rush rate than he has had over the past few games, which is why it seems more beneficial to let him sit for a few games. Now, if it were a situation where Bosa was playing well despite injury, THAT would make it a difficult decision, but that isn't the case here; he's completely ineffective right now. He isn't helping himself or the team. People talked about Spencer Brown playing for way too long against the Texans with one arm. Well, Bosa's essentially been doing the same thing... for 3 weeks and counting. 1 Quote

You are not going to get me to disagree at all here... they are desperately trying to use these folks and getting them injured worse... I have no idea, but Spencer Brown if taken out is he day to day... and now he is an IR candidate? I dont like making excuses but the Ravens and the Bills definately got the short end of the injury bug... I am not sure I have seen anything like this.... but it was the same last year as well... to the point I am looking at the composition of the team saying are we way small, unconditioned, scheme is bad , or just been flat out unlucky for the last several years. 1 Quote
