Based upon the election results this week, Republicans would be wise to sweeten the deal a bit to convince 6 Dems to vote for it. It would demonstrate that they can actually govern and keep the country running.

And no Republican Senator up for reelection in 2026 would ever do this, since that guarantees that Trump will support a primary challenger.
