But he has not looked like a starting cornerback since before his second injury, the achilles, and even then was clearly diminished by the first major injury, the ACL Consistency is key at that position and not allowing the big play. I have no confidence White can do either of those things consistently any more. If true, and starting, that would likely mean he would be easy pickings for a slew of the high level quarterbacks they play this year. No thanks, not worth the risk--if what we have seen of White the last few years is what we will get. And that inconsistency was a hallmark of his play this off season--sometimes good, solid, but too many break downs. Not a starting corner if what we saw is what he is now. So, Strong, and hope he gets better each week until Hairston comes back. In the end, if Strong can hold down the fort, they would then have a reliable back up too for the rest of the season. As Tre White transitions into a coach on the team he loves and who loves him back. Like I said here, and over and over in real life and on this forum--Tre White is no longer an NFl caliber cornerback. Not a starter, not a backup. I have no idea what people who think he should be on the field for the Bills are thinking. Or seeing. Done. I said it the day he was signed and soon after. I said it before the season started. And each week since. Done, for the reasons stated above and others. I said he will cost the Bills games this year because he is not capable of covering almost any NFL receiver consistently. He will continue to do so, consistently, as you cannot play an NFL cornerback who simply cannot run with almost any starting NFL wide receiver. Again, if I can see this super obvious fact clearly, why can't the Bills' coaches? Scour the practice squads of every NFL team, and see who may be sitting home, and who may be available in a trde-- but get the two best corners we can get THIS WEEK. Done is done. Time to coach. Time to get a cornerback out there who can consistently cover NFL wide receivers. White cannot. In every game he will show this and every close game may be in jeopardy because he is no longer an NFL cornerback, just like the Chiefs and Ravens found out last year.
