No crow here. I said the D sucked and I didn't see anything last night to make me change my mind. Allen is a force of nature and we will always have a shot with Allen. The offense was great last year with Allen and it held true last night. The D sucked last year and that stayed the same. We have basically the same team as last year. I don't know what they can do to improve the D much during the season? Let's hope they can get better but I'm not going to hold my breath, the coach is obvious willing to go down with that ***** scheme.

Maybe get Hoecht and Ogunjobi back from suspension? Maybe elevate Jordan Phillips? Maybe get Hairston and Tre back? Maybe get Bishop some experience? Maybe get Walker and Sanders some experience? Maybe Bosa delivers?

Sounds like you’re a close follower of the team. (Sarcasm off)

There is no hate. So I don’t know where you’re getting that from. You made a point we weren’t at full strength but we clearly were. Offensively and defensively.

And your rebuttal about suspended defensive linemen is a wash as they had their main rotation from last year with additions. The only guy from our defense that didn’t return is Douglas who was replaced by Strong.

Seems your hustle is to double down and argue invalid points that make you feel right. Nice to know your own “lol” struck a nerve.

“lol”

guys on the roster not being available that will be later on in the season not counting as missing because they were not on the roster last year is possibly the most absurd argument I’ve ever seen attempted on these boards haha.

it’s all good though we can agree to disagree I was just havin a little bit of fun 😂

So the defense last year was:

AJE/Von   Oliver   Jones/Phillips   Groot

               Bernard      Milano                    Taron

Benford                                               Douglas

                 Rapp                        Hamlin/Bishop

The only guys not here now is Von and Douglas. One replaced by Bosa, the other by Hairston/Tre/Strong.

Offense is the same group back with the exception of Cooper who wasn’t really worth much anyway. Palmer will have the same production.

The rotation players last night on defense were 2 draft picks from 2025 (Sanders/Walker) and one from 2024 (Solomon).

thats 18 out of 22 starters returning. I’d say that’s as healthy as you’ll get. Again, Tre back from injury and Hairston can’t be included as much as the suspended players in OG and Hoecht.

If you think that perspective is “hating” good on you man.

Eh.  The defense showed flashes.  I thought they were rusty AF and got better as the game went on.

If the D doesn't force 2 punts and a fumble, in the 4Q when you'd think they'd be tired and dispirited from Henry running over them all day, we lose.

I don't understand the "weren't at full strength but we clearly were" part.  We were starting a late round rookie at CB - wasn't the plan White or Hairston?
And Benford looked as though there was still something up with him.

Safety I have to put down as the weakest spot.  We're giving Bishop every chance to lose the safety job because of his upside, and so far he's not looking like he's growing into the job.

And that wasn't the DL McDermott planned on as an upgrade.

We'll see how next week goes down.  D didn't look good, but I don't see how they're at full strength, either

Haha I mean the hating part was meant to be tongue in cheek 😂. I apologize if it came off as serious I just very much enjoy the expression ‘hating is a full time job’ lol

your logic still makes absolutely zero sense after typing all that. I do applaud the effort though lol.  if Micah parsons was out week 1 would he not count as missing because he’s only one guy/a new addition to the packers? It’s just such a bizarre point

Where is the line for when a new addition counts because Michael hoecht at least is legit and has only gotten better every year.  Reminds a lot of people of Lorenzo Alexander where he does so many different things pretty well and he’s a pretty perfect fit for mcd.  Ogunjobi has struggled lately so he could be hit or miss…I’d give you him as possibly not a big deal..  a versatile edge/LB hybrid like hoecht though could’ve absolutely impacted that game

I do think Hairston will be a pretty big upgrade to Dorian strong although for a not very highly touted guy dorian held up pretty well.  he’s just nowhere near the upside that Hairston brings.  in a league where your pass coverage is really only as good as your worst corner that’s pretty significant

You obviously don't follow them. The D sucks, it's that simple. Maybe they will get better, those are a lot of maybe you got there. I said in one of those posts that I hope they do get better but you conviently ignored that.

They can elevate Jordan Phillips now along with poyer. Tre as much as we all love him was not brought in to be a starter, at least I hope not. And who are the two guys on suspension better than? Those are rotational guys at best.

Crediting guys who haven’t played a snap from last season to this on our team means the holes were filled either way. The two spots that have different players actually were just as good if not better on a return from the guys that previously occupied those roles. Returning all those starters but 2 is full strength, especially if you go by the first official depth chart; Tre is the only guy not there. If it were week 5 for example and they were pencilled starters who went down or were all of a sudden unavailable, then yes we aren’t at full strength. Again, the only guys we don’t have from last year were Von and Douglas. Both have been lambasted on here for sub or play. Plugging in Joey Bosa and a rookie CB in Strong, who would have been Hairston, is exactly where we were to finish and start the season. The names may differ but the standpoint is exactly the same. The exact starting 11 they issued for defense minus Tre. Improved in somewhat as Bosa > Von.

I see a 90.9% lineup from the first issue of the depth chart as being healthy. Obviously you don’t.

Agree to disagree.
