There’s something to your thought.   On an island where they believed they’d be rescued, neither Mary Ann nor Ginger made any headway with Thurston.    In short, I think Mrs. Howell must’ve had skills.   Same thing with Brady Bunch and Alice.   Sam the Butcher personally delivered the meat to the Brady home and hung out with Alice.   I think she was a magician in the sheets.
