For me it got to the point that by noon on Sundays I’d get a sick feeling in my gut about work the next day. I didn’t tell anybody, but I used my weekends for what felt like forever to drive an hour each way, Saturdays and Sundays, to get a license I needed to get out of banking and change industries. I went on the have the happiest 13 years of my working life. Yes, there were some sacrifices, but it was awesome! 

 

My wife was getting nearly that sick of her work conditions and planned to retire in 13 months when she hit retirement age because conditions were so bad. Everybody wanted out, but if you quit you lose all kinds of retirement benefits. Conditions are so bad because everybody is nervous about cutbacks and being able to do the work without support. God is good, and her position was eliminated so they will pay her NOT to work much of that time and she is stress free.
