No guarantee your going to win harder games later in the year That's certainly a valid point and it's not time to panic because they're still in a playoff position. If management essentially "resigned" themselves to playing an extra game, potentially away, then why not. I mean realistically the team probably plays better away from the elements in January. What if they said that wherever they finish is fine since they have so much faith in the team to put it all together and win 4 games in a row at the end of the year, regardless of venue. They say seeds 1-7 are all (comparably) valuable because they're all going to the dance. 1 stands above the rest with the bye and 2-7 carry similar weight since it's the same number of games.. the travel and fans might be an impact but otherwise it's nothing when it could be in a dome or nice weather somewhere away from Buffalo.
