Specifically with NordStream to Germany the most important nation state of Europe. What the US fears more than anything is Russian economic integration with western Europe. if you think the sideshow in Ukraine is about territorial integrity or stopping Russian conquest of Europe you're not paying close attention to how the world operates. its all about the money. But what blows that theory out of the water, no pun intended, is the existence of something people in the business call a shut off valve. I've heard its quite useful in turning off the flow of some liquid or gas running through a pipe. if you ever have a need to turn off the water or gas in your home its advisable to use the valve to stop the flow rather than blow up your water main or gas main hook up. There are multiple conflicting thoughts you touch on here: I don't trust unnamed sources, especially with such large impact topics. I don't want to believe the US did it, but it is more logical than Russia doing it. Lastly the ONLY reason would do it themselves is to cause a quick escalation of the war, but I doubt that is what Putin wants but I definitely can't rule it out. So the short version is I am putting one more small chip in the US did it pile from this report but I am still not sold on anyone's involvement. Yep, I will give Obama credit...I didn't always agree with him (hardly ever), but he's sharp and he understood the dynamics and by and large did a good job for us. This Biden cabal...they are dangerous in a way Obama's followers weren't, because we're 10 years further down the line of American decline, and they just don't get it.
